Birkenstock Unisex Gizeh BS Birko-Flor Sandals

First of all, I have wanted a pair of these for years and could never justify the price tag from the original source. I was sceptical when I found these on amazon as they are very well reduced from the normal price and wondered if they were fake. I scoured the reviews and couldn't really find any evidence to suggest they are, so hey bonus! The second worry I had was the size. I am a 6.5 but normally have to size up to a 7 as hardly anywhere does half sizes, again after reading all the reviews I took the advice and ordered a 5.5, cursing myself as I did it, expecting them to arrive and have to be sent back straight away. Fast forward to today when they arrive, they are in proper birkenstock packaging, they look and feel very sturdy, the name on the side is nice and clear everything suggests that they are the real McCoy. Next test is trying them on.. and they fit!! Now they say they are a 39 so I guess you could say that they are a 6 rather than a 5.5 but either way, I certainly wouldn't be able to cram feet in to a 6. They feel secure and comfortable enough and as I've read they will get more comfortable over time. So it's a long winded 5 star review, am absolutely made up with my purchase.. well done Amazon

I have wanted these for several years but always held off as I couldn't really afford them, I took the plunge finally this year and I wonder why I waited so long! The are so comfortable!!! After a short breaking in period which was more about my feet getting used to being supported better (I had flat flip flops before) they feel so good.They look great on and are built really well. I was a bit worried about the sizing as I read reviews after I ordered that said they had had to order a smaller size than they normally would. I ordered 39N as my feet are neither wide nor narrow and I am a 39, they fit perfectly. Overall really over the moon with them and am looking forward to ordering more in the future... I got the mocha ones this time, might get the lime green ones next time :)

Just what I was hoping for - I love Birkenstocks but have always had to pay at least £50 for them and so had to think twice until now! These were only £25.66 and worth every penny! I noticed a reviewer questioning their authenticity - let me put your mind at rest - they're the real deal! I've had a few pairs before and these are kosher - the box contains all the usual authentification paraphernalia also!Great shoes - lovely colour - flesh tone for anyone with brown skin like mine :)!!! (For some reason the review photo shows a white pair but I have the nubuck ones - hence the flesh tone comment!)I'm going to buy several more pairs at this price now! Fantastic!

I was a little concerned when first purchasing how a non leather sandal would hold up to heavy wear. Have featured pictures of the old versus the new. The old pair bought in 2015 are still going strong, and they have been very well used as I live in a warm climate! This will be their fourth summer and all my other sandals have been sidelined as these are so comfy. Now the cork footbed has really cracked and they look very scruffy, but are still worn around the farm. They are not brilliant on loose surfaces as the lip on the footbed tends to catch small stones...but then they don't claim to be all terrain, and are actually surprisingly grippy over rocks etc!I bought a 39 when I am a 39/40 and they are perfect. If you are between sizes I suggest opting for the size down as they come up a bit large. I am not sure why they are labelled a 5.5 UK as they are more like a 6.5 in my opinion.I wanted to buy myself another pair that I can wear socks in and therefore extend the birkenstock season so ordered a Kumba, but these only come in a narrow footbed. This wasn't stated so I was very disappointed. I have wide feet so they were way too narrow. The little foot symbol on the footbed indicates the width. If is totally filled in they are a narrow fit so beware. Many of the backstrap models without a toepost seem to only come in a narrow fit. No idea why. I hope Birkenstock will amend this.I decided to reorder exactly the same as last time to have no confusion. After two weeks of use I am a little concerned that the footbed is coming up a half a cm narrower than last time. With my last pair the only discomfort in breaking them in was the softening of the toepost. My foot feels much closer to the edge of these. I am hoping this is just my memory failing me and because I am comparing them to ones that fit like an old glove...plus my feet are not getting any younger!!Postage to Portugal was incredibly fast. Couldn't fault Amazon for speed of service. I ordered in the early hours of Wednesday morning and they arrived Thursday afternoon!! They didn't come in a Birkenstock box, but that wasn't a bother for me. Hope they will give as good a service as the last pair has!

I have resisted buying a pair for a long time as they are not cheap, but since giving in and getting these they have barely been off my feet! Really comfortable, and a great fit. I am a uk 7 but got the 6 after trying some in the shops. I don't normally like the thong bit between the toes, but I have to say these are soft and flexible so I barely notice it. All in all great value as I know I will be wearing them a lot!! The colour is good too and they look good with jeans, skirts or shorts.

I am really glad I read reviews before I made my purchase. I am size 6.5 and I sized down to 5.5 as per reviews. As per box I got regular size EU39 and they fit perfectly. If I would have gone down a bit more they would have been too small. They look good quality and feel comfortable. Good price on Amazon as well.

Wow! Firstly - thank you Amazon for the superfast delivery - 36 hours from ordering to wearing them!!! Secondly, these Birkenstocks are my second pair - and the only toe posts I can wear without thinking of any rubbing anywhere. Very well made and extremely comfortable and durable. They come up a size larger than other shoes so I ordered asize 4 when I am normally a 5 or 6. Two widths are handy too. Brilliant every time.

Do not recommend as they are heavy and uncomfortable
