Very nice.
These things are quite nice. They came in a strip of (presumably conductive) foam, so no bent pins and they all seem to work fine. At 5V (what most of us hobbyists are working with most of the time), they light up nice and bright even with a 330Ω resistor (although I'm pretty sure you could feasibly get away with a 180Ω and still not risk burning the thing out), and when I say bright I do mean quite bright, you will not have a hard time seeing these at all, even if your eyes aren't what they once were. These are larger, brigher, and seem overall nicer than the ones they carry at Radio Shack. If you're looking for red LED 7-segment numeric displays with decimal points, I have to recommend these.

Good quality, bright
The media could not be loaded. These discrete seven segment LED displays work just fine. I would recommend them. However, it would be a bonus if the supplier was to include a data sheet with the pin out. You shouldn’t have to search the Internet to find out what the pin out is.

Great!
Works as intended

I got 10 and they work.
Put simply, they work. Hook the - to COM and + to the pin to the one you want to light up (see that one guy's review with picture that has the labels for which segment). Takes ~2.0[V], too much more and they get dimmer, drawing more current and this obviously is breaking them, exactly what I expected to happen. 5161AS is the model of 7 seg I got so if it changes, mention it.

incorrect polarity
Common anode, not cathode. It still works though.

Worked like a Charm!
The displays were bright and fit perfectly on my breadboard. Aside from the original order being lost in the mail the service was very good. I should also comment that the replacement/reorder was handled most efficiently and I am incredibly pleased.

Great for the price
These are standard 7 segment common cathode displays. The segments are in RED. The displays do not come with a datasheet, and you will have to find this online. There are different types of 7 segment displays. The ones I received were labelled 5161as and with a quick search one finds a datasheet. These also fit well in a breadboard over the ravine. One might need a resistor on each input when using a 5V power supply.
