Can this be connected to via the remote software like the X32 desk can?

Yes - it has an rj45 efferent connection so you may connect direct to a computer or to a router for wifi - I use it both from a pic and an ipad

How long is the legal guarantee on it?

Not sure what you mean by the "legal" guarantee but Behringer guarantee the desk for 3 years, provided you register the purchase on their support page. https://www.music-group.com/brand/behringer/support/product-registration

using something like a s16 snake can you have 16 xlr outputs with this product (if not how many xlr outputs can you have)

I believe that is correct you also have availability of 12 monitor out which can also be configured to what function you require. I suggest you look at Behringer tutorials on utube. Regards, D.

Does it have "Scene Recall", and if so, how any scenes can you save?

Yes is has Internally it can store up to 100 scenes and 100 "Snippets" which are kind of subscenes where you can save and recall just parts of the desk setup. It can also store "presets" of EQ settings, dynamics, FX settings and many other things., I can't remember exactly how many but it's a lot. And if 100 isn't enough for you all this data can be written to or read from a USB stick (or several) so once you have all it set up you can carry an entire show's worth of settings in your pocket. Just plug it in the drive upload the settings to your desk (or even someone else's) and you are ready to go. In theory once initially set up you can run the entire show without even touching a fader. But there's more, If you have a laptop with you, (I carry one for just this reason) you can make use of another handy feature, all these scenes, snippets and presets can be uploaded to the Behringer X32 edit software (free from the Behringer website) from there they can be edited (offline if required ahead of time) and either sent to the desk or saved to disk for future use. I use this regularly for naming the "scribble strips" as it is a bit fiddly and slow to do it with the encoders on the desk itself. a proper keyboard is much quicker. X32 Edit supports Windows, Mac, Linux, and even Raspi's and there are versions of it (or a similar free 3rd party app called mixing station) for IOS and Android. so you can even do it via wifi from a phone or tablet. Most digital desks have scene recall to a lesser or greater extent and whilst this is not in the Midas Pro or Digico league it is not far away and the implementation of it is very versatile So to sum up yes 100 scenes internally and an almost infinite number plus remote control on almost any device you care to name

Incredible piece of machinery

Flipping incredible piece of engineering. Absolute credit to behringer even if they had a wobbly past this console absolutely pulls them out of the dirt and puts them back into the market of affordable digital gear. I use this for contract work around England and it’s amazing, rugged, fairly lightweight and along with a flight case it is brilliant to move around easily. I got the compact hoping that features weren’t compromised and I was absolutely correct. Brilliant piece of kit. My one and only complaint however is that there is a tiny dead pixel on the lcd screen towards the top right hand side and although isn’t a problem i would just suggest that maybe Behringer’s quality control should maybe be slightly tighter.

La X32 compact est magique, ultra complète et la qualité de fabrication est très satisfaisante. Des performances au top et un son vraiment très très bon. Un joujou professionnel intuitif et addictif, pour le studio ou le live... à ce prix je ne pense pas trouver d'équivalent .

Je l’utilise en studio depuis 6 mois, et je suis entièrement satisfait! Les preamps sont transparents, les effets intégrés sonnent super bien, les possibilités de routing sont géniales (entre autre avec le firmware 4.0), et le DAW control fonctionne super bien. Je la conseille grandement soit pour studio ou live. Belle job Behringer!

First thing to know, it is very heavy! So get it into position to Connect cables and then at its final seating, turn on the power.a little scary Looking down on it but its worth seeing what you have to deal with. The bad thing is, it does not come with instructions and for the price, this is my only fault with it. It will take some time to máster it but for me its a great purchase
