This thing is brilliant, plug a battery in and it just does the job perfectly. The "Storage" mode is nice, which will just do whatever necessary to bring a pack to about half charged, whether that's charging or discharging it. The only thing it could do with is a balance lead extension, the actual charging cable is about 50cm long but most of it just ends up coiled around the battery since it has to be about 5cm away for the balance leads.There's a "12v" input on the side, but it's happy with at least 16 too. Mains cable is one of those less common cloverleaf type things.Bonus: It plays a happy little tune when your battery is charged.

The only negative comment I have is that I've personally found navigating the menu a little tricky if it's done from the charger itself. I guess with practice or if you don't use lots of different battery types then you won't have any trouble, but I'm using this to charge all sorts of things with strange configuration parameters and it's a little fiddly. I think it would have benefited from a display capable of showing a bit more info, that said you soon get used to it.It's all aluminum construction with a really bright clear display that has a wide viewing angle makes it solid and durable. Main charge/discharge connectors are gold plated and the balancing port connectors are the standard molex type so should accommodate most battery packs. For some reason they felt the need to fit a clover mains power connector instead of a standard IEC connector, but the power lead supplied is of good quality. I've checked and the unit is correctly earthed which makes a change.The full flexibility of this unit really comes into it's own when you hook it to a PC. Downloading and installing the software from their site was a piece of cake (Windows 10 64-bit machine no problem) and once connected it takes all of 10 seconds to specify the battery and charge/discharge parameters and away you go, all done with point and click. I've now charged and discharged around 30 batteries so far of various chemistries and it's worked flawlessly. My next purchase will be the external temperature sensor as some of my NiMH's get very hot when being charged and I think it would be sensible to use the temperature option for battery safety. The units has an internal temperature sensor but you need to purchase the external one as an extra.I'm not really a battery pack user so haven't used the balancing features yet as I typically use single cells and this is brilliant for checking battery capacity; and checking the claims of unscrupulous auction sellers who label batteries with unbelievably high mAH values. Minimum charge current seems to be around 100 mA and it's a shame it can't go lower as that would allow charging of button cells, but for most people this really won't be an issue. The manual is pretty good too. You can tell it's been translated into English but it's not the normal chinglish type translation and it's been well done.It's really sturdy even when standing upright; which I find makes it easier to keep an eye on it when I'm moving around the room, but its got some nice distinctive alert tones it plays you know instantly what's trying grab your attention. Shame it doesn't have wall mounting holes on the back.

I bought this to replace the 'fake' iMAX B6 that I had bought off ebay which blew up, and I have to say this one feels much better thanks to it being a genuine one! The menu system is almost identical but it reports its firmware version (the latest according to the SkyRC website) and serial number unlike the fakes.It can be run from AC or from DC 12v depending on your preference, which suits me for home and field use.

I haven't charged any Lipo's with it yet, but there's a wealth of info and tutorials on YouTube regarding charging Lipo's with thisHave charged Nimh batteries to full capacity within two hours easily, much better than the stock charger my sons FTX Siege came withYou can charge to full capacity within less than two hours, however to preserve battery cycle length it's better to charge at half the rate rather than higher. I.e: an 1800Mah battery you'd charge at 1.8amps, to charge in <60mins. However, I would charge it at 0.9amps to be done in less than 2 hours as it's just better for the battery. Others would say just charge at full but each to their own. Happy bashing!

Love this charger. Only caveat is that it is only 50w so limited to charging 2x 1500mAh 4S Lipo batteries at 3Amps (2x 1.5A). I can fit 4x 1500 4S Lipo's with my P-charging board but they will only charge at 3.3Amps (6000mAh total @ 4S). Even so the flexibility of this makes it a great step up charger from the one you get with any RC device as it has many charging modes, discharge and storage!!!. The PC app is a little basic and frankly I don't use it as it's much quicker to use the buttons on the unit.

Fantastic charger well worth money charged 2 , 11.1 3s batterys in about a hour brilliant bit of kit easier than thought to use not too complicated, fast delivery as well , and pleased with purchase as wasted money on other chargers that didn't last 2 minutes and took 3 times aslong to charge , so wish I had bought this in first place happy chappy good buy thanks.

This is so much better than the imax b6 copies in many ways. Stays cooler and storage mode actually works.Lipo batteries are dangerous if not charged and stored properly so don't take risks! I use this charger and use an ammo box for the batteries just in case. I've seen the aftermath of a lipo fire so always use good quality components which this charger is.

Genuine iMAX B6AC v2 charger.The minute you get this out of the box you can see and feel the quality.The extra packet of connectors is a handy little bonus too.Very happy customer.
