This is an excellent toy. We are thrilled to see our 5 year old grandson open it on Christmas Day!

Fun robot. I gave as a gift. My 8 year old grandson loved it. He could operate it pretty easily. It took a few hard falls and didn't break.

Looks impressive upon opening the box. Remote control looks impressive as well. The sheer number of buttons overwhelms me, so of course my son loves it. The remote control takes two AA batteries, and comes with a screwdriver to make it easy to open the battery compartment. Nice touch. The robot itself has a built-in battery which charges with the included USB cable. At first I thought there was no charging indicator light on the robot, but it's just a glow inside the body, so if the room is bright you may miss it, like I did. There is also an indicator light on the USB cable, which makes it easier to tell when the robot's internal battery is charged. The manual is well-made compared to the many I've seen lately that are just little pieces of paper. It would have been MUCH easier, however, if they would have put the diagram of the remote control across from the page with all the buttons labeled, instead of on the back of it (so you don't have to flip the page every time you try and identify another button). Not TOO bad though, there are only 22 buttons =\ But that's because it can do so many things! So it's worth getting through. It's cool you can make the robot move with gestures from your hand. Basic moves, but my 8-year old son loves it! The many features included are far beyond anything I've experience in a toy before. Just take good care of it because the robot and attachments are all plastic. And the gun shoots the missles about a foot, so no worries about shooting the cat from across the room. Very enjoyable for my kids, but I'd rather pay twice as much for a much more durable unit that I wouldn't worry about breaking if it falls over.
