Barefoot Dreams Women's Bamboo Lite Calypso Wrap

I bought my first Barefoot Dreams Calypso Wrap when I lived in Germany 4 yrs. ago.. after reading the "Shaeffer Told Me To" Blog. It was a must-have. Her rave review and about 500 others on the Nordstrom site convinced me. I have literally 'sold' these to about 10 of my friends. It's nicknamed the "Blardigan" by Schaeffer. Part blanket, part cardigan. This is one of those pieces that you pay 2x what you'd normally spend on a similar item but it is worth EVERY PENNY. I've actually started a club called "The Wine & Blardigan Club". Just for fun..because why not? My girlfriends love it lol! This is my 2nd Blardigan and I wondered if actually needed a 2nd one. I asked my bff who now has 2--and her reply? 'YES! It literally lowers my blood pressure when I put it on...and when we lost our dog last week...there was nothing more comforting to wear the next day than my Blardigan". So yup I bought another. My 16 yr son told me he likes this white version even more than the original ombre that I got. It's incredibly soft. It can be dressed up or down. For work or for snuggling in front of the fire. When I have extra money I'm going to buy one for everyone I know. True Story. And no...I don't work for Barefoot Dreams ha!! But when I love something I LOVE IT BIG. I promise you will thank me if you decide to splurge on yourself.

This is so soft and comfortable, I love it. Some other reviewers said that the sleeves were tight, but that was not my experience. I have muscular arms and most sweaters and jackets are snug on me and I found these to be just right--they also loosen up even more after wearing for a while. It is casual, has a worn "lived in" look that goes with jeans or leggings, is perfect for travel, is warm, and even comfortable enough to lounge around the house in.***Review update*** I have had this for 3 months now. I have worn it a handful of times and the seam along one of the shoulders is starting to come undone. It has been gently worn and cared for and I am so disappointed in the quality. It is small and not very noticable to others but I wonder how long before it comes apart. I have changed my rating from a 5 star to 3--it's still really cute and comfortable but for the price the quality is questionable. I would not purchase again but since I'm stuck with it, I'll wear it till it falls apart.

Soft and oh so comfortable. I have several of these and wear them towards the end of each pregnancy and after birth. It's like wrapping in a soft cuddly blanket and you can still be stylish enough to wear it out. I normally wear a large, but I recommend small/medium on these as they do stretch out. Also, they do lose their initial softness (still soft but not as soft as when you first get them) but I suspect that's because I am drying them in the dryer. I would recommend using the low or fluff setting to dry. I wish they weren't so expensive but I love them so much, I keep coming back for more.

This sweater is so beautiful and cozy! I am so happy with it. The pictures do not do it justice. I ordered the ombre pearl/pewter. I accidently received the heathered pearl/pewter, which was gorgeous, but I returned, because I really wanted the ombre one. I would have kept it if I didn't already have a grey Barefoot dreams circle cardigan. I can totally see how the mistake was made due to the very close product description. It was easy to return, and I just re-ordered the one I wanted. I would recommend any color of this cardigan. It fits true to size and is an amazing sweater.

I previously owned this in black/grey in S/M, so I was excited to find the brown tones. However, this one fits slightly differently - a little tighter in the arms/shoulders. It’s not enough to return. I still love the soft fabric and have been able to wear this several times.

Love my wrap!! I am always cold and looking for that extra layer to throw on. All of your material is amazingly soft and wears well. Washes well. I do dry my pieces, however, dry on low, and wash separately from others that require more. Can’t say enough about this brand. Their clothes fit great, love their robes, hats, and live with their blankets wrapped around me and feel like a queen!

I love this sweater! It is so comfortable I could! Unfortunately, I ordered it to large however that will not prevent me from boiling it but it is two long. I don’t know if I could exchange it because I opened one it out , but I haven’t had it for a while. But, I had never felt something so comfortable in my life!

Buy this sweater now! It’s the sweater I’ve been missing my whole life and never knew about. It’s a pretty material so it doesn’t look exactly like you’re wearing a blanket but its super soft like a blanket, cozy and warm like a blanket, and when you’re sitting down, you can wrap yourself in it like a blanket. It fit perfectly in my normal size. It was waaaay more expensive than I’d normally spend on a sweater but so worth it.
