I have an Echo Auto in my car. I was impressed it worked seamlessly with my Android Auto and Apple CarPlay but didn't prevent activating Alexa commands. Easy for wife to connect with her iphone and me with my samsung phone.

I was a bit bummed because Toyota randomly removed the Toyota App suite for my 2018 Camry V6 XSE this month leaving NO Apps loaded in my vehicle. I loved the Toyota + Alexa feature Yelp and a couple others. I was pretty disappointed because I paid a premium for the stereo system in my vehicle and Toyota provided nothing in place of what they removed . My Car only had Apple Car play but I use an Android phone.Thankful to another RAV-4 owner who gave a positive Amazon review for this product. Installation was flawless. Simply unpair the current Bluetooth from your car, Connect the new device to your car then pair your phone to the device and Walla! Android Auto works. Google maps and all the apps are displayed Phone calls work great, voice buttons and all steering wheel controls work.The only thing I noticed it takes about 20 seconds to automatically to sync. This is not an issue for me.

I have this device for my 2021 LDV T60 Luxe to give my Samsung S23Ultra Wireless Android Auto through the native Car Play of the LDV.Setup was simple however a few issues arose every time I would turn on. The device would struggle to connect. After several email from Amy at the Ottocast Help desk, we look to be on the road to perfection. Amy has suggested the addition of a Y Power cable to boost the power supply on the Ottocast device. Hopefully this allows direct connection without issues.Once the device is connected it works flawlessly. Easy navigation and phone calls without any lag in the system. I remove another branded CP/AA device as the lag was horrendous. Very happy now.

Purchased this for my wife's 2019 RAV4. 2019 only has wired car play and we use android, so i looked for work arounds and found this. Initial setup was annoying but not bad. Started car and plugged it in and got nothing, did not have time to tinker with it so I left it plugged in and went on my way. When I returned to car and started it, I was greeted shortly after with the setup screen. Setup was super easy and quick and within a few seconds Android auto wireless was working. No lag and audio and screen quality is what I am accustomed used to from my car with an aftermarket android auto wireless head unit. Of the 5 times I have gotten in and out of the car it connected fine 4 times. I can't say that 1 time it was the fault of the ottocast as Android Auto just doesn't connect sometimes. I knocked off a star for initial setup not initiating when car was already running. Something I appreciated was receiving a message from tech support immediately after placing order asking me to reach out if I had any issues. That's pretty nice customer service, but also means that others must have had issues. My initial impressions are this is a great little device that bridges the limitations of a car play (or android auto) only head units letting you use your preferred platform wirelessly.
