Professional Ionic Hair Dryer TGR 2.0 i Ionic Blow Dryer (Replaces 4000i)

This is my second Velecta dryer. They are great. The first, a 4000i, still works fine after more than 4-1/2 years. But, since it is getting older, I wanted to have backup and bought the new model. The TGR 2.0 is - thankfully - not hugely different than the 4000i. But there are some improvements. It's slightly lighter, has a shorter nozzle and seems a bit more powerful. All in all, very similar but better - which I love.As an aside, Velecta makes the Harry Josh hair dryer. As far as I can tell, they are identical. Velecta was the dryer Josh used before he launched his own brand.

I love it! I’ve had mine for almost 2 years now and it still works amazing. I love how hot it gets and it’s a little heavy but works great.

Before returning, I used this hairdryer for a little over two weeks. I have shoulder length fine hair and my hair stylist recommended this to me.Here are my thoughts ...PROS:1. It turns onCONS:1. This hairdryer is touted as lightweight but it is one of the heaviest dryers I've used. It weights 18.8oz which is considered high on the typical scale. (my old Revlon was around 14oz. and a new one I'm trying is only 11.8oz)2. This sucker RUNS HOT!! Even on the coolest setting it lit my scalp on fire. I was forced to press the cool shot button the entire time I dried my hair. There are only 2 heat settings: SUPER HOT or SCORCHING HOT.3. Speaking of the "Cool Shot" button, why isn't it located at the top of the shaft? Instead, it is half way down and you have to contort your hand while pressing the lower portion of the button. Just weird.4. There are only two speeds: low or high. It is 1875 Watts and is VERY LOUD, yet it's touted as very quiet. Nope.5. The anti frizz button didn't seem to do anything but maybe that's because the heat was so high that my hair was fried, so I didn't notice any difference.6. The 10' cord is definitely overkill, but I knew it would be long when I ordered it. I just don't like trying to manage it while drying.7. For the price of this dryer, I should be in love, but I don't even want to go on a first date.HATED IT! Can you tell?
