Prick: Cacti and Succulents: Choosing, Styling, Caring

Good starter guide. Bought as a gift.

My copy of this book arrived last week and I am delighted with it. Beautifully photographed, the book gives easy to understand and helpful information on the different types of cacti and succulents with useful tips on keeping them alive. I was always really scared of having plants as I seemed to always kill them but I have bought plants from the shop (check it out if you haven't already) and will be using this book to help me build my collection! Finally I too - the least green-fingered person I know- can have a home filled with life-giving plants and if I'm too lazy to get my act together, I'll at least have a beautiful coffee table book!

Nice item, used with slight damage, but not an issue as excellent value for the price. Arrived a day early.

I own the Kindle edition of t book, a real bargain as one of the Monthly Deaks. Packed with useful information on Cacti and Succulents, with a good choice of plant descriptions and tips on displaying, accompanied by beautiful photos by the author, a photographer , who owns a shop with prickly plants in South London. Still, it is the hardback edition that is simply irresistible - compact, on matt paper with elegant typeset and beautifully designed.

I'm a succulent lover, but I mainly bought this book as I thought it made an interesting display book. The cover is stunning, and the name is tongue in cheek. That said the book itself is a lovely read, and though I don't live in London I follow the author on Instagram because I love to hear about her store, and career. This book is highly recommended.

At first I was really just interested in a beginners guide to succulents, and I got that in spades, in the form of this pictorial piece of art, I simple couldn't be more pleased with this book and I hope that there will be many more to come! Never thought I'd say this but, I LOVE PRICK!!!

I brought this for my father in law who loves gardening and owns alot of cacti. The title of the book is great and he seen the funny side of it! That aside, there is alot of useful information in growing and maintaining these plants.

This is a nice book well presented with information and pictures on plants cacti and succulents. However, the title is well named "Prickly" as its mostly about cactus plants and cactus plants are a bit too prickly for me to enjoy, but would recommend this book for those who enjoy cactus.

Very nice, handy and useful book. Nice pictures, useful advices for succulents caring. I will create a succulent corner in my house following this book advices!

I absolutely LOVE my Prick book. The cover, with the beautiful array of cacti and hilarious title would have been enough on it own but as I've read through it, it only gets better. The content is really thought through and well rounded. As a scientist, I loved the botany and as someone who has historically killed all her cacti, the tips are really helpful as she makes it so simple. Aside from that, the book is beautiful and I'm proud to have it on my shelf. Beautiful photography and wonderfully put together. I also liked how it gave us a peek into the homes of people with great taste and a love of cacti. This will be a perfect Christmas gift for all my plant loving friends. I must also add that Gynelle herself is an incredible inspiration, as a fellow woman, millennial and person of colour. I love her story, vision and passion.

Bought this as a Xmas gift for my sister and took a snoop through it before wrapping it up. Its a very informative book filled with lots of great information about cacti and succulents. May have to buy one for myself lol.
