Plackers Twin Line Flossers, Pack of 2

I struggled for a long time using floss-reels/tape with varying degrees of success, usually finding that the narrow stuff was easy to use but didn't clean very well, while thicker floss cleaned better was prone to getting caught and fraying.So I decided to give floss-sticks a try and as luck would have it I found these in a local chemist's; the twin-line sticks use two narrow, but really strong, strips of floss, giving you the ease of use of a narrow floss, but the cleaning of much thicker stuff. The angled handle also makes it a lot easier to get at all of your teeth. While I recommend disposing of each stick if you're not used to flossing (as you may get some blood initially), once you're used to them you should be able to use them for several days or even a whole week before they will start to fray, meaning that although they're a little expensive they are actually really good value for money.Unfortunately my local chemist no longer stocks these, but I was glad to find them still for sale online, as it really is the only way I can floss properly as they are so much easier to use. This is also true when compared to other floss-sticks which use a single line, and can be a lot more prone to breaking or getting stuck.

My usual supermarket was out of stock of the Plackers micro mint which I had been using daily for nearly 2 years. So glad I checked on Amazon and came across the positive reviews for these twin line Plackers flossers. I thought that the micro mint were the best flossers available until I tried these, they really do clean even better than the single line. With very tightly packed crooked teeth I had only ever found one brand of waxed dental tape that I could get between my teeth and even then it was a struggle with sore and indented fingers, needless to say I didn't floss very often. Since discovering Plackers I've had no problems and almost enjoy flossing every day. If I had one criticism it would be that the handles of these flossers aren't as good a design as those on the green micro mint and it took a couple of days getting used to how to hold it without the pick jabbing my thumb. Having said that these are still my number one choice and for me Plackers are well worth the price compared to some other cheaper brand flossers I've tried recently.

Only 75 count pack, I did not get a double pack like some other reviewers have written. Personally I prefer the tri line version better than these twin line, but they do the job.

I really like these devices as they make it quick and easy to floss. I find that the "twin-line" means that material is removed more consistently than a single line. I rinse the flosser briefly after every few teeth if there is visible material being removed.Whilst I know I could just wrap floss round my fingers, I find it slightly awkward and uncomfortable. With these devices it is less hassle, I don't cut of circulation in my fingers (!) and I can floss around all my teeth quite easily, even the wisdom teeth. Because they make it easy, I floss more often that I would just using floss. My dentist and dental hygienist are commented on the improvement to my gum health!

These are superb. Strong and easy to use. I have used several packs over the last year and not one has broken. My dental hygienist finds it hard to get floss through the gaps so that is saying something. They sometimes take a little while to arrive but as you use them every day it is easy to predict and order in advance. I was one of the multitude who found flossing too much bother but with these I do it every time. The dentist now tells me my dental hygiene is spot on. Oh, by the way, I don't have shares in the company :0)

My wife and I discovered these by accident, from a local supermarket; then they stopped stocking them. The twin-line design grabs food particles so they are efficiently removed from gaps between the teeth without damaging the gums. Really useful for older users whose gums have receded, leaving significant gaps between the teeth where stringy meat gets trapped (OK...too much information!). There are imitation products out there but these have strings of Kevlar which don't break with normal use and reuse. There is also a tooth pick at the end of the handle but one hardly ever needs it.
