DEWALT D26430 230V Detail Sander

This is quite a sturdy item. My last sander was really difficult as it vibrated quite a lot and your hands hurt like crazy after using it. So far so good.

This sander is so light and easy to use.Great for those difficult jobs that any other sander cannot reach.

I bought this to replace an old, rather noisy delta sander and chose DeWalt as I have several really excellent pieces of kit from them. The product came without a user manual (?), but I attached one of the sanding triangles provided and started to sand at a medium speed. Almost immediately, I noticed that the triangle had started to move out of position, making detail sanding awkward, and very soon it simply would not stick. I tried a second triangle (80 grit) with pretty much the same result. When I attached the same triangles to my old cheap sander, they worked fine and I got nearly 15 minutes work out of them with absolutely no problem. On examination, the hook and loop surface on the De Walt's triangular mounting pad seemed very smooth and flat. I gave up on the sander and returned it.
