You can make it work, but it's not North Face's best
I've worn and trusted North Face for many years now, and I'm quite disappointed with this jacket. It's advertised specifically as a ski jacket and so I bought it for a ski trip. I was excited for the triclimate functionality, insulation, specificity to ski conditions, as well as the color. I feel that this jacket did not deliver on most of these things.Pros:- Waterproof and windbreaker functionality of the outer material is good- Zippers stay zipped- Color is beautifulCons:- Not well insulated-- even though it says it's for ski, the inner insulation is way too thin. I layered a couple cotton shirts, a fleece sweater, plus insulated bib pants and a scarf, and I could still feel the cold more than I would have expected.- Too narrow in the neck-- I was wearing a single ordinary thickness fleece scarf, and when I tried to zip this jacket all the way up to break the wind and snow, it pressed into my throat and made me feel like I was going to choke. (I'm 5'8 and 140lbs, so I'm long and lean, this really should not be an issue.)- Not a standard fit-- the description says it's a standard fit, but it's not particularly roomy so much as just a short shapeless bag around your body. It felt like it was straining outward if I put anything in the pocket at all, and yet at the same time due to the length in the front, if I wasn't wearing overall/bib-style snowpants, my lower torso would have been extremely unhappy.- Horrible pockets-- This jacket has two big torso pockets that run from collarbone to waist-height, one tiny pocket at the wrist, and no inner pockets at all. This has got to be the worst design I've ever seen on any jacket, much less a North Face.> The two torso pockets are absolutely huge so anything you put in them drops to your waist, which means three things: 1) it's extremely difficult to access due to the awkward angle at which you have to jut your elbow out to get in there, 2) you can't put a lot in there because the things on top will fall out while you're trying to dig around the bottom, and 3) even when I put just the bare minimum of a phone in one pocket and nothing else in the other, this jacket made me look like I had a beer belly.> The little wrist pocket is a nice spot for a car key or a lift pass, but hard to open and close.> The zippers get stuck on the lining often, making it even more difficult to get anything in/out of them safely with a single hand or quickly.I really would prefer to return this jacket and find something else next season, as it's not worth anywhere near the cost for a ski jacket. If I can't return (since I've worn it once now), it'll get relegated to a spring/fall hiking shell, because the windbreaker is the only thing about this jacket that works as advertised or expected.

Nice cost and good price
Nice and warm and I like how the lining comes out and that it has a hood

North Face Quality
Good quality although I feel like the style is odd. The pocket placement is not useful at all.

Feminine, flattering, worth the $
Warm, lightweight, feminine pattern and shape make it flattering to wear. Have received many compliments already. Am 5'2, 135. Bought XL to have extra room for layering for snowboarding. Could probably have gone with a large and it would still work.
