OFM Essentials Collection 4-Shelf Free Standing Ladder Bookshelf, in White/Black

So the overall look of this item looks great online and once it’s assembled, however, I would not give this item 4 or 5 stars. When I opened the box these black liquid stains were on each shelf. I wasn’t sure what it was and if it would come off. Luckily it wiped right off but not knowing if the stains was harmful was a bit alarming. Then once I finish setting it up it seemed a bit wobbly. I was able to add books on it but I would say don’t move it or lean too heavy of objects on it in case it collapse. I thought about returning this item but the time it took to come to my home and the time it would’ve taken to choose another shelf would have taken way too long. And it also turned out to be smaller than what I thought it would be but that’s kind of my fault for not taking a measuring tape and mapping it out within my space. So now I need to purchase another bookshelf to fit my other books which I would love to get the bigger option of this but I’m afraid that it’s going to be poor quality. It’s a cute design and it’s very space-saving but the quality is just not great and I don’t think that it’s worth the amount of money that it costs. I’ll see how long it last me.

Cute, small shelf. It was really easy to assemble. I’m not good at assembly but it only took me 15 minutes to put it together. It’s not the sturdiest shelf but it works for my plants.

Looks great, matches my other furniture. Wish it was a little bigger.

shelves came slightly damaged...

This is a simple, modern bookcase with a black frame and white shelves.The case was very easy to assemble,which took less than thirty minutes. Assembly requires screwing sixteen screws into the frame directly into the shelves.The top shelf is small and the shelves get progressively larger towards the bottom. The screws and an allen key are provided.I am short on space in my house, and this bookcase uses minimal floor space. I am always looking for ways to better organizemy belongings, and this bookcase helps me with that. I use this bookcase for holding books and craft materials (yarn, needles, and notions).The reason for four stars rather than five is that the case is a little wobbly on carpet, which is what I have, but it should be fine on hard floors.

This bookcase works well and looks good in a casually decorated space.You don't need any tools to assemble it. This comes with everything you need. One nice aspect is that the shelves themselves screw into the posts, so everything is tightly held in place.The picture in the listing makes it look like the shelves are slightly translucent, but they are not. They are basic, solid white. There's no aspect that's adjustable for shelf height. It suits the needs of my space really well. Again, it's a casual look, nothing too fancy, just a simple way to display books, and it's no trouble at all to put together.

Easy assembly, though there was a long curled up piece of metal left inside one of the outside pieces. I had an extra screw in mine (yes, I double checked and counted twice). Looks really nice set up though! I wasn't sure I'd like the black and white, but it's pretty.I also like that the shelves are a bit deeper than normal shelves; it has extra space for books + nick-nacks.

Very useful ladder-style shelf system.This is marketed as a ladder-style bookshelf; however, it can be used for other items besides books. As a matter of fact, I would even say it is much better as general shelving system than a bookshelf. The shelves are not the same size. The bottom shelf is the largest and it gets smaller as you go up. Just like a ladder, the front legs lean inwards while the back legs are vertically straight.The system will come in a box. There will be some assembly required. Everything you need, including tools, are in the package. Assembly is very easy, even for one person. The finished product will be sturdy for most uses. To keep this tall unit stable, always put the heaviest items on the bottom shelf. Do not put heavy items at the top shelf.The product is durable enough for its purpose. I use mine to hold small kitchen appliances, like a toaster, an ice tea brewer, and a rice steamer. This is perfect for the kitchen. The bottom shelf holds cook books. The narrow footprint allows it to fit in a narrow corner of the kitchen.I can recommend this product to those who want to add a shelving unit in a small space. This unit is tall and the four shelves will hold tall items, like an iced tea brewing machine. The design is contemporary modern and may not fit with all decor.
