Impresive.
I decided to buy this to replace both an old CD player and my old Blu-ray player and save a bit of space around my Hi-Fi. It was a good move. Both the sound and picture quality are amazing. The quality of the unit is also really good at this price point. All in all, great value for money.

Originally 5 stars. However, there is a major design flaw. The drive gear for the loading tray fails. It's made of very cheap, soft, plastic. Failed with only a couple of movies a week usage, just out of warranty. If it happens when out of warranty, Yamaha will not supply (even at customers cost) a replacement part. The part in question, costs pennies, and renders the unit unrepairable or use able, due to not opening and closing. Best avoided. VERY DISAPPOINTED YAMAHA.
