Works! Much better than others!
I purchased this after trying 4 other cables that claim to do the same thing, as I wanted to connect a digital piano to my iOS device and get midi playback. Other cables and adapters would connect initially but during playback would disconnect intermittently and there was often popping and cracking when many notes were played together. These issues were not present when using this cable, this cable has worked flawlessly and the connection has remained stable. I never appreciated cables could be so different. It’s not cheap compared to some others but there is evidently a sound reason for the higher price as it actually works and overall is good value if you need a reliable connection. Only minor niggle is I wish it was available in black and in a shorter length.

I use this product to connect my smart phone to my electronic keyboard and it works beautifully. I am not an expert but the term lightning seems to be very important.

Roland piano FP30X to iPad using IOS26.2 worked perfectly
Piano marvel is a very good learning app but for some reason the midi connection method using the apple camera adapter was blocked by iOS 18 for some reason We continued with the Bluetooth connection which was buggy and infuriating In desperation I bought this cable with low expectations but low and behold plugged it in and got a very good hardwired link to the iPad and the app works perfectly again 100%

Bought this to connect my son’s electric piano to his phone so he could record his compositions. It’s intended for a printer but is perfect for this.

Don’t Bother
The other reviews that say it doesn’t work - they’re right. Bought to link up iPhone 12 to Yahama piano, connected once then failed. Save yourself the hassle, don’t buy this item.
