Didn't end up wearing it and opted for my company issued bumper cap. The fit was strange.

This hat is comfortable and light. I wear it as a work hat and it has lasted, especially for the price.

This hat insulates my head well from the bumps it is designed to protect me from. Looks pretty decent too.

The GREEN DEVIL Maverick-Air Series Safety Bump Cap is a great alternative for situations that don't require an industrial grade hard hat. The GREEN DEVIL Maverick Bump Cap looks like a regular baseball cap. On the inside is a hard plastic shell that rests against the top, front and sides of the cap. Attached to that is a rubber pad that goes along the entire top of the cap and rests on your head. The plastic layer is well vented along the top and sides to allow air flow through the mesh outer-layer of the cap. Like most baseball caps, there is a plastic strap for size adjustment along the back edge of the cap. The cap comes with a "User Manual" which is really just a sheet of paper with some care instructions. It does state in the beginning that the GREEN DEVIL Maverick-Air Series Safety Bump Cap is NOT a substitution for an industrial safety helmet and is designed for personal use. The User Manual says that the cap should be transported in its original box but my cap can in a plastic bag inside an Amazon box so I'm not sure if that is what they are referring to. It also says the inner shell (plastic liner) has an expiration 4 years after production. Inside the cap I found a label with a Batch/Lot Number of 10/22. I'm going to assume this is the production date. Assuming the liner is not damaged, I'm not sure why the liner wold expire. I was surprised at how comfortable the cap is given the hard plastic liner. I have no issues wearing it for extended periods of time. I already own a hard hard but hesitate to wear it for most work I do. But wearing a regular baseball cap often worries me that I have no real protection for mishaps. The GREEN DEVIL Maverick-Air Series Safety Bump Cap solves that problem by giving me the protection I want without looking like I am headed to a major construction site.

This is a clever and cool idea. The cap doesn't almost look like there's something underneath it just looks like what a regular cap would look like if you had a lot of hair lol. Looks good and the MOST important thing really is that it protects. The very first day hubby used it he was bending over to get some screws and when he got up he hit himself with the corner of a metal cabinet. Perfect timing . He's very happy to have it and he's protected so I am pleased with this item.

I love this hat. Not only is it comfortable, but the hard plastic inside is able to be removed so you can wear this as a regular hat while not playing ball. The quality is fantastic and I know I’m going to have this for years.
