I Purchsed a £60 Drone some time ago for my son, I had done research but alas it was rubbish. You could not fly it outside in the faintest of Breezes. And the Battery lasted about 8 mins. So this time around I researched heavily, and whilst I did not want to spend this sort of money on a toy, This was the best I could Find. I looked for Drones that can fly in the wind, I found plenty. the DJI drones looked the best but were just too expensive. I then stumbled across another one (Wont Shame them Here) But they looked great for the wind. But the stability of the Camera on all the Review Videos was really Poor. Getting frustrated and my Sons Birthday looming closer. I stumbled on the Potensic ATOM SE. The review videos looked great and the Customer reviews looked good. It ticked all the boxes. I convinced my son to put some of his money towards it and I made the purchase. Item arrived next day, Wrapped it up and my son was delighted when he opened it when the rain finally stopped a few days later we got the chance to test it out. we connected the app and paired the phone with the Drone. Took it outside, My son had it in the air within seconds. And was flying it about like he had loads of experiance. it was so simple to use and very fun. I had a go, usally with these thing a struggle to coordinate my fingers with the direction i need to drone to go in. But it was so easy. They claim the drone can go 4km - It may well do, but it certainly went further than we were comfortable with. I could not see it in the sky any more and had to use the camera to navigate back. It was a windy day as well, But the Drone coped no issues. How windy, well windy enough that you would turn your back into the wind to stay as warm as possible. Not sure how the GPS home function works as yet. I pressed the home button and the drone just kept getting higher and higher. But with the wind I decided to cancel the Home operation. (Will work that out another day) Video footage - So far so good, very stable picture bordering on Professional. We dont have an SD card as yet so cant record anything but the picture that is sent back to the phone whilst flying is very impressive. Battery life is also super impressive. In that first test flight we were out there for about 30 mins, Not flying all the time. but we never even had to change to the second Battery. So hats of to Potensic for that one. We also had a sneaky go in the house, somehow the drone seems to sense its enviroment and seemed to work fine but it was slowed down alot. which was great as we were then easialy able to navigate around the house. (I wont lie I did hit a wall - The drone was not happy and flung off into the kitchen Cupboard - But like i said i am not good with co-ordination. My son flew it around the house absolutly fine) For me I am so glad we spent the extra money - And my son actually has something he can enjoy and can actually fly it in most average weather conditions for a decent amount of flight time. I dont think any first time Droner would be disapointed with this product, well done Potensic you have made a young lad and old man very happy.

This is my first drone and having flown it now for a month I can say that I'm very impressed. I chose it in part because of the positive customer write-ups and also the affordable price that it was offered at through Amazon. I didn't want anything too complicated or expensive but it's given me much more for my money than I'd expected. It was pretty simple to get started with flying it. It paired straight away with no issues and picked up satellites quickly. I was surprised and impressed by the responsiveness of the controls from the outset. The drone's stable steady steering made flight manoeuvrability and landing accurate and well-controlled despite my initial fears that it seeming very light-weight. Functions were simple to figure out - forward flight, height, reverse etc and the return to home and follow me mode are brilliant. Hover function is helpful too- if you get into a flap about anything just release the controller and it stays where it is while you sort yourself out! There are more features to explore but I'm sold on it already. The battery gives about 30 minutes of flying time plus the package I bought included a spare battery anyway. The 4k video quality is excellent and the camera is much more than I'd expected for an entry-level drone too with the ability to adjust the tilt by 90 degrees and give crystal-clear images. The package was great value overall. The carry case is good quality and has storage for all the accessories. It's coped well with a shower or two already. Overall I'd recommend this drone package. You get a great deal of drone for your money.

Have used drones for over a year (not my own). decided to buy my own. This unit had a good price, kit contents and good feedback. I was impressed with the drone and remote and app. The app carried out a firmware update on first boot up. it was tested in the garden to get used to the controls (which were smooth and responsive). the unit was used for 15 mins, and seemed impressive for a small unit, noted the battery was dropping quiet quickly. due to the weather it was not taken out for a few days, but good footage from the memory card, I decided this time to test the follow me mode, again, as soon as the unit was turned on, the app carried out another firmware update, unit was then tested in a field, noted that firstly it did not sound right, the unit was pulsing, and not hovering, but doing a small circle about 9 foot in the air. this stopped after 2 minutes, so a calibration was carried out (as a precaution). a quick test was carried out, and seemed ok, with a bit of motor pulsing. Follow me mode was activated. for the first 4 minutes it seemed ok, no issues showing on the app, but I could hear that the drone was pulsing. at this point the drone just went out of control, and did not respond to the controls. the drone increased in tone, automatically went higher, then veered left and crashed. the unit was disconnected and taken home to check the damage. No footage was recored to the memory card when checked, and damage to the drone was evident, and the app wanted to carry out another firmware update (within 8 hours). so I can only conclude there was a firmware issue? going by no fault and working ok, to update and erratic, then another f/ware update. I will wait for a response from either party, but the unit has been returned for a full refund. hopefully the outcome will be positive, as this initially turned out to be one of the best units and kits out there.... will update if any is needed.

I am new to drone flying so I wanted a drone that would be as easy to fly as possible. My search brought me to the Potensic and its amazing versality and power, at an affordable price. The customer write-ups were very positive and, of course, it was sold through Amazon with the quality control and price guarantees they offer. So, I bought it. Delivery was swift - it arrived the following day. Manual and video instructions are on line, and they were a little difficult to access at first, but Potensic Customer Support was great and sorted this out very quickly - a special 'shout out' to Ruby. It did not take me long to "get airborne" and discover how surprisingly easy it is to fly - even indoors. The aircraft is very stable and does not drift, so steering it through doorways was a simple process, although I do confess to getting confused over the in-flight steering, which caused the drone to collide with the wall and damage a couple of the propellers. That was clearly due to my inexperience and over-confidence (it is that good) and not due to problems with the drone itself. So my advice is, reign in your enthusiasm and make sure you read the manual and operating instructions thoroughly. As a first test flight just get used to the control sticks and remember that, depending on the aspect and position of the drone (ie if it is facing you), turning the stick left may actually be wrong, as I found out! I have flown it outside and am hugely impressed by the quality of the real time images displayed and the straightforward process to record and view the flight subsequently. Even though weighing under 250 gms, as a drone with a camera it is necessary to register with the CAA as a drone operator, which I did as soon as I received my aircraft. It is inexpensive. As each day passes, I am becoming more adept at flying my Potensic ATOM SE drone and I am hoping to take it with me to fly when I go abroad on holiday. If you plan to do the same, check the regulations applicable in your destination. Within Europe, they are EASA Regs (also available on the internet). In summary, this is a super little drone, flies incredibly well, is easy to manoeuvre, has 31 minutes flight time per battery, has a very good onboard gimble mounted camera with high resolution recordable images (still and video), a return home feature and is sold at an affordable price. Last, but not least, it comes with a first rate customer support service. So, if you are looking for a compact and reliable drone, this could be the one for you. It was for me.

Honestly, this drone is amazing! Incredible value for money, and certainly a serious rival for DJI. If you feel a bit ambivalent about committing to the purchase then I suggest watching a number of YouTube reviews, etc. as I did. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I haven't taken photos yet, but the video is so incredibly sharp!!! Even at 200 feet up I could still see the dandelions in the field below. Spotting people on a golf course which I reckon must have been about 200~300 metres away (when viewed on a PC screen). It's actually a good idea, I found, to take a laptop with you to review the footage as soon as you can. It's brilliant! The drone is easy and fun to fly. The app is perfect (suggest a larger size phone though as there is a lot of info on the screen when flying). Very stable hover. Even with the control stick held down (for descend), the drone comes down and lands incredibly gently. Usually lands with a last second sideways shimmy - maybe ground effect? Battery life is excellent. In video mode (flight speed setting), I got 29 minutes of flight time on one battery (and it comes with two). - and that was after a couple of updates. Very very pleased ;-)

I reseached the internet and compared devices on youtube reviews before purchasing. I wanted an easy to operate device, that wouldn't break the bank. The drone was delivered promptly. It came with a very useful shoulder bag, which is of good quality. Plus the 2nd battery and spares as advertised. I particularly liked the hand controller being rechargable. I was impressed by the overall build quality of all the items in the kit. My grand children and I are not disappointed and fly at every opportunity, and we are impressed with its capabilities. I have found the device to be very stable in flight, and the battery lasts as expected.The GPS return home is an absolute must and works a treat. I found the camera image quality to be excellent for a hobby device, and the ability to raise and lower the camera increases the enjoyment. Before flying the drone, I would strongly recommend reading the instructions, and watching youtube reviews. This will give you a good start on the capabilities, and how to operate it safely. I also registered with the CAA, which is very simple and straightforward. I would recommend this item to anybody who wants to start droning, for both cost and capabilities.

I bought this in March ’23 after realising that the rules for sub 250g drones are quite relaxed, and I would have greater options for flying than with my old heavy Hubsan drone from 2018. I was very pleased with the much greater functionality and ease of use for these new drones. Unlike the old Hubsan this has a 4K camera with a tilt function, allowing for much greater flexibility and quality recording. There are plenty of videos online with demonstrate the excellent video quality of the Atom. Flight time is excellent, depending on wind conditions and type of flying I can easily get about 25 minutes flying time from a single battery. Flying range is good, capable of several km, which also means that at shorter range there’s much better connectivity than my old Hubsan, I don’t have to panic if goes out of sight. This drone doesn’t have collision avoidance, that keeps the weight and cost down, and some drones that do have that feature default to it off as it’s a power drain. In most cases when I fly, collision avoidance is not needed. After sales service is excellent, with easily available spare parts. I recently lost the drone carelessly when it hit a tree, collision avoidance might have helped there, I couldn’t find the drone and loss of the drone means a £400 investment was lost (extra battery and multiway charger). Ruby at Potensic support was incredibly helpful and quick to help, arranging for a replacement drone only, not free but at a very reasonable price. Firmware updates are reasonably frequent with improved or new functionality, but this is a very reliable and trusty drone, the firmware is great and nothing like a ‘beta’ releases that we have with some drones where features are promised several months down the line. My only real issue is the lack of multi-axis gimbal, that’s not a massive deal, especially given the price, and some post processing of video can help, but really my preference would be multi-axis gimbal. Maybe in a future Potensic model?

Drone was dead on arrival with no support from the Potensic website after messaging early today. Drone had a fatal error that stops it from flying which is a circuit board issue. Returning this item

Dit is mijn eerste drone. Na wat filmpjes op Youtube gezien te hebben, de Potensic Atom SE gekocht. Een fantastische aanschaf, deze drone is enorm makkelijk te vliegen. Een degelijke drone met veel mogelijkheden. De camera heeft ook goede beelden zowel foto als video.

Die Potensic Atom SE ist eine günstige Einateigerdrohne. Sie ist deutlich günstiger, wie Drohnen des Marktführers. Einrichtung und App Dank der App, lässt sich die Drohne sehr einfach einrichten, hier ist alles Schritt für Schritt erklärt. Die Tutorials über die Akademie in der App sind sehr hilfreich und empfehlenswert. Die App bietet sehr viele nützliche Einatellungen und Funktionen. Hier sollte man sich mal in Ruhe mit beschäftigen. Flugverhalten Fliegen mit der Amtom SE macht einfach Spass. Ein Akku hält gute 35 Minuten. Am Anfang etwas Übung für ruhige Kameraflüge erforderlich. Die Drohne liegt auch bei Wind gut in der Luft. Dank der Return-to-home Funtion (RTH) kehrt dir Drohne bei Bedarf, oder bei schwacher Batterie wieder an den Startpunkt zurück. Bilder und Videos Bilder werden auf der Micro-SD-Karte (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten) gespeichert. Die Bilder können in .jpg und/oder RAW gespeichert werden. Videos lassen sich in halber und voller HD-Qualität, sowie 4K aufnehmen. Fernbedienung Die Fernbesienung liegt gut in der Hand. Die Reichweite ist bei guter sich mind. 1 km. Die Verbindung zur Drohne klappt schnell und einfach. Die Satteliten findet die Fernbedienung auch sehr schnell. Hinweise Mit 249g kann die Drohne ohne Drohnenführerschein geflogen werden (ich empfehle trotzdem den Online-Kusrs beim LBA zu absolvieren. Dort lernt man einiges zum Sachgerechten Umgang mit dem Fluggerät). Die Registrierung als Drohnenpilot beim LBA und Kennzeichnung der Drohne ist Pflicht, (da die Drohen eine Kamera besitzt). Fazit Für den Einstieg in die Welt der Drohnen eine klare Empfehlung für die Potensic Atome SE. Ein späteres Upgrade auf ein größeres Modell kann man wenn es einem Spass macht und man die Drohne regelmäßig nutz immer noch machen.. Preis Danke eines Gutacheins bei Amazon (40 €) war dir Drohne mit Tasche und zwei Akkus für 252 € günstig zu haben.
