Q: Are these paintable ?

I personally have not painted the pots, but I have had friends who have used colored Sharpie markers on them and they look fabulous! Try a little on the bottom side of one of the dishes. Let it dry and then float it on a dish of water to see if there is an issue. If it runs or peels off, no one will ever have noticed.

Q: Are the black pots glossy/shiny?

I bought the green ones, and they aren't glossy at all...............Since the black ones are made from the same materials, I would very much doubt they'd be glossy or shiny

Q: If I'm holding one of these in my hand, will it collapse like a wet paper bag if I squeeze it? Does it have a plastic type marking on the bottom?

Sorry but my previous answer concerned a different product. I can't squeeze this pot at all. On the bottom of the saucer it says D2606.
