The only thing that could improve this rating is a remote control switcher, but that is being rather ambitious for the price point. Overall this works extremely well and I recommend it.

3.5 starsWhen one of our HDMI ports gave up the ghost we only had one and didn't want to buy a new tv!! So we bought this so we can plug out tv box, ps4 and other items in without constantly taking the cable out and breaking the remaining port.It's a simple little thing and all the ports fit the ends well. I was told that the unit would sense which item is powered up....... unfortunately for us it doesn't and it will switch from ps4 to tv constantly. We found a solution and that is to have ps4 and tv box on and press the selection button on the unit to the relevant box we want to use. It's not perfect but it works and we don't need a new tv.

I ordered this so that I can connect my Xbox 360 & my BT tv box, both to my quite small & and 6 year old TV which only has one hdmi socket. It works really well. When the bt box is on it connects perfectly, & when i turn my xbox 360 on, it automatically connects to that. I also have the option to add another input source, because there are three inputs. Good value for money.

Discovered another port on the back of the Tv after unpacking so have never used.

A good item of solid construction. this item seemed to work well with some of my inputs but not all.Turns out this was due to the manufactorer of TV - its a Samsung -- their software doesnt play well with swutchers from all the research i have done. Check your own TV information befor ordering and being disapointed through no fault of this product.

maybe i got a faulty one?this product is awful, it worked for less than a minute when i plugged it in. so heres a rundown of what happened:i plugged device into back of my pc monitor, plugged in my pc and games console into the switcher and it worked fine, it had auto detect function, and i could switch inputs by pressing the button. but as soon as i turned off my computer the switcher got confused and a light flashed between all three inputs signalling that it was rapidly switching HDMI channels. this product would have been perfect if it hadn't had the auto detect function which a lot of devices have nowadays. basically from what i can see if this product just had a manual switch and no auto detect feature it would have been perfect.never in all my time on amazon have i been so dissatisfied with a product, this seemed to have plenty of good reviews so it must work for some people?all i know is its almost worthless sending it back, and it may just be a faulty product. or it could be that my devices are ancient, but either way this doesn't change the fact that this device should work regardless!

This switcher works better than the one I used to have which is identical except for the fact that this one is powered which seems to make all the difference in switching performance
