Festool insert boxes Set 60x60/120x71 3xFT

Package comes supplied in a simple plastic bag and what you get for your money is: 8 small containers, 4 medium containers, 3 container dividers and 2 foam rubber blocks. As you can see from the photos this is enough to max out the storage in one drawer (in this case a SYS 4). There is some flexibility in how you lay things out however note that the boxes do not fit in the central section of the drawer (it is the wrong size and doesn't have the lugs moulded into the bottom. Instead the 3 dividers fit into the central section. You can use less than all three but the only positions are the ones in the picture. As I mentioned in my review of the SYS 4 itself it would make way more sense for the dividers to be provided with the drawer unit itself, rather than having to buy this set. The foam blocks sit at the back as the lugs inside of the drawer means you can't fill it right to the back (there's about a half container of space left) and this fills that void. Feels an odd waste of space to be honest but does keep things more secure (and oddly these aren't provided with some of the other storage options). There is a small gap between the top to the containers and the drawer above but you'd have to have seriously small fixtures in them for things to get scattered during transit. Overall they are well made (nice thick plastic, unlike cheaper units) and when fitting them in the drawer everything seems to be thoroughly designed with it all slotting together in a very satisfying way.

Are they expensive? Yes and no. Yes, they're just plastic. But they are also robust and very well made, in Germany, to exacting tolerances. Then there's the fact that they utterly transform your work flow, and enable instant access to all your previously dispersed, lost, or stubbornly elusive fixings! So in the round, they're actually a very good investment indeed! One of the truly brilliant features is that they sit flush to the top of the drawer, and the compartment above that drawer has a solid flat base. So, when you close the drawer anything stored in these trays cannot escape. No more jumbled up contents!! Unless you've experienced for yourself the Festool system it's likely you don't yet fully appreciate how transformative it is. My own experience is typical: spend years gorping at the seemingly ridiculous price, hum and ha and scoff, then grudgingly purchase something in a fit of of drunken bravado and sheer curiosity following a succesful night in the pub. Soon after that comes the epiphany that Greatness exists! This is followed by a steady emptying of ones bank account in inverse proportion to the rapid multiplication of systainers in one's workshop. The end result is penury, organisational bliss, and assorted shin bruising from kicking oneself for not doing it all years ago instead of procrastinating for so long.

Great bit of kit bit expensive but in the long run but if it keeps everything tidy and in place and easy to find I would definitely recommend this for your festool organiser

makes organisation of the sort 3 drawer systainer very easy, nothing gets mixed up when drawers are closed so well worth the money

It's Festool so what is there not to like other than the price! Used for my cantilever tool box. Only way to guarantee things stay in place.
