Only just getting to grips with this, but going ok so far

This book published by the brilliant William Leavitt, does not teach you how to site read. It is for someone who already has some site reading experience under their belt. It's very good. If you're a super advanced site reader you might not find a challenge here. But I would urge people who think they're intermediate to advanced to give it a go. You never know it might expose a weakness, and a weakness is always good in guitar practice, because it gives you something to work on.

If you want to become an expert sight-reader for the guitar, this book is for you.My guitar teacher recommended William Leavitt’s book to me. It has really been a true discovery. I am very impressed by the way it's organised. The exercises are gradual in difficulty and the harmony is pleasant, alternating melodies based on running scales, arpeggios and II-V-Is.I have been practicing this book daily from a couple of months now and my sight-reading has already improved beyond my wildest expectations.

It's great. My only complaint is it promises 'multiposition studies' and I don't see any.

This is a must have for anyone wishing to develop their reading skills on guitar. It systematically works through the positions up the neck which not only improves your ability to read but also strengthens you fingerboard knowledge

Slow getting to grips with this! I only want to play guitar.Do not want a Degree!

The information to Increase my understanding of what I seek in This Area of music is astonishing.

Si no sabes cómo estructurar una rutina para mejorar la lectura a primera vista, este es un buen libro para empezar. Los ejercicios son bonitos y van cambiando de tonalidad para que vayan apareciendo diferentes alteraciones sobre la marcha.

Studi a note singole e di accordi, in tutte le tonalità. Una faticaccia, ma ripaga. Per variare, consiglio l'alternarsi con Melodic Rhythms for guitar, sempre di Leavitt. Quest'ultimo contiene studi piú melodici, forse anche piú semplici, e senza dubbio piú divertenti (diventerete bravissimi a suonare le sincopi). Tuttavia, questo Reading studies vi farà migliorare molto di piú col suonare in tutte le tonalità e con le modulazioni all'interno dei brani.

Para quem já lê partitura e quer aprimorar seu conhecimento musical em leitura à primeira vista no violão esse é um ótimo complemento!Pode ser simples para quem já está acostumado, porém para quem está começando é algo sensacional.Muito prático e direto!
