Exo Terra Ceramic Heat Emitter, 100 Watt

Brilliant, Hot spot is just the right temperature now, ceramic bulbs tend to last for years unlike bulbs and this brand is the best I have tried to date, worth a little extra for the quality and life span. Make sure you use a proper mounting and cage protective fitting for these. They are very hot and so there is a burn risk if touched and fire risk if they are not mounted correctly and safely.

Brilliant bulb. Used with my habistat to heat a large glass viv with a mesh top. Does the job perfectly. I've had the smaller 100w one lying around as a spare for well over 2 years and it still works 2. These are great bulbs, but they are a pain to remove from the fitting as the metal cap tends to get stuck but it's the same with most ceramics and you should only be removing it if the bulb has died. Only downside to these is it's hard to find a cage that'll fit them, they're about as wide (if not wider) than a cd. But if you have a mesh roof and a good fitting it's perfect, durable and efficient. This and the smaller/lower wattage bulbs are the best i've used.

I got this about 6 months go and still going strong, unlike the countless 'light bulbs' that had previously used, so already paid for itself. It's heating a glass vivarium (and resident corn snake) approx 18in wide by 3ft long by 2ft high at a perfect temperature. It does get warmer than the equivalent wattage bulb though so a cage is pretty vital to protect your pet from possible burns.

Bought for a turtle tank. Works perfectly, giving the exact heat needed. Keeps the tank warm but not overly hot. However, does not regulate the temperature so during summer months and on hotter days, the heater needs to be turned off.

This CHE does not work! The neck isn't straight either so doesn't screw in properly.

Perfect for hearing my vivs. Although did find it difficult to find a guard to fit. I bought the 250 Watt. No fault of the bulbs though. Just a marketing mistake. So be prepared to search if you buy the large 250! I have 4ft vivs and these bulbs heat them easily.

I got this a good 6 months ago I think lol. Anyway it keeps heat well and has lasted were night bulbs , like the moonlight one or infared have not lasted. I use this at the moment for my Crestie but I used it for beardie at first , used at night ., much better to heating than bulbs for nocturnal reps Just to add I have had this a year now and its still fine!

I wanted to slightly raise the temperature of my viv as my room tended to be around 17-20 degrees but occasionally as low as 15 and needed to maintain around 24 degrees. After checking the Exo Terra website I thought the 40w would be sufficient based on the charts showing what temperature it gives off. Unfortunately either it was a bad batch or just not powerful enough but it only maintained 22 degrees and this was on continuous. I had to change for a 60w which does the job fine and the thermostat shows it’s not on full power all the time.

Funciono muy bien cuando lo conecte en mi incubadora de huevos, tuve que modificar la posición y dirección del socket porque el largo supera en 1 centímetro aproximadamente el largo de un foco estándar, fuera de eso todo OK. Funciona a la perfección y tiene excelentes acabados.

La verdad tengo 4 bombillas cerámicas de estas y son super fiables. En 3 años no han dejado de funcionar. Es importantísimo usarlas con un termostato.

I use this heater on cold days for my crested geckos. It is mounted between two tanks. The geckos approach it and hang out near it when they feel like it.
