External CD DVD Drive, USB 3.0 & Type-C CD/DVD +/-RW ROM Burner Writer Rewriter with SD/TF & USB Ports, Optical Disc Drive DVD Player for Laptop PC Winodws 11/10 Mac MacBook Pro Air Apple iMac

Great quality item, well made and worked straight away as soon as I plugged it into the computer, with the plug and play. I bought it as we have a new laptop, which like most these days don't have a CD drive. We have just recently bought a new car and you can guess, no CD player, so had to rip the music to put it onto my phone to play through the infotainment system within the car. I tried the recommended ripping apps like Windows media and VLC, but would either not work or was taking an age to rip each song, never mind the complete CD. In VLC, I had 1 song ripping for over 5 minutes and still wasn't complete before I stopped, otherwise it would have took me over an hour for each CD. We live quite rural and don't have brilliant or fast internet speeds, so thought it was that? But then I saw someone recommended Nero CD ripper app, so I downloaded that. Even with our speeds each complete CD was ripped within 2 minutes.

Yes it does exactly that . A marvellous piece of kit and works dvds and cds brilliantly. For those laptops/pcs that no longer have dvd/cd installed. Recommended YES ABSOLUTELY.

Nice little drive. Does what it needs to do. Love that the cable is attached and sits neatly underneath for storage. No having to find a USB cable to make it work. Just a couple of design issues which annoy me. 1) all of the SD & USB ports are at the back. Which makes accessing them difficult on a busy desk. 2) The micro SD port. When you insert your card it sticks out the back quite a bit. Unfortunately I pushed the unit back on my desk and snapped the Micro SD card in half rendering all my data null and void. A £40 SD card full of data gone in one accidental swipe. There is nothing to protect it. Not sure why a fully insert system like you have on cameras and mobiles phones couldn't have have been used. (In the process of designing and 3D printing a solution) for now I've now taken to selotaping a bit of card over the SD card to protect it. 3) the button to open the front tray is raised so I'm constantly catching it and spring the disc tray open.

Cheap and cheerful DVD/CD burner but it does exactly what it says. Small, slimline and performs it's duties admirably, the only fault I can find is that the cable length supplied means the player has to be right next to the computer or laptop. OK for me but if your set-up is different you may have problems connecting to it

Excellent product. Worked straight out of the box.

How to cheaper one before they didn’t work at all

Supposedly plug and play. I have 2 good spec laptops less than 3 years old that have never had a problem with any peripheral plug and play system. That was until I bought this. The give away is that when your system won't recognise the player then the very poor information provided basically tells you to download a CD/DVD driver programme for your device or contact their helpdesk. Fine if you have a quirky or unusual system but NOT plug and play on a standard windows laptop. You are being told "actually it doesnt really do what we claim" Rubbish

Great little dvd writer just note it comes with a lead which I couldn’t get working .. the lead you need is built in the unit on the underside

Works as advertised.

Perfettamente funzionante, ottimo prodotto, ma sarei stato più felice se ci fosse stato abbinato anche il software per la stampa Lightscribe.

Laufwerk funktioniert einwandfrei. Leichte Bedienung. Gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Schnelle Lieferung.
