Exactly what I needed to replace the 45W power supply used for Acer Aspire3 w: 3mmx1mm plug connector. Small in size and covers multiple voltages. In my case using the 20V output from a 45W or 65W usb-c power brick. Positives: - Comes with 10 adapters which allows for multiple devices - Voltage is selectable which is good if you know what voltage your device needs - Compact size - Works on any laptop with the compatible plug What you should know: 1- Note that this device is merely signaling the upstream USB-C port to provide the selected voltage. It is not up/downscaling the voltage itself so you do need a usb-c power brick that can take multiple voltages 2- since the selection is manual and it defaults to 5V, it’s probably good for travel but not for it to always be connected since it could unintentionally reset to an incorrect voltage 3- works on microusb and usb-c devices but again you need to set the correct voltage. it’s too bad it can’t auto detect

I love these adapters! They are easy to use and come with many barrel attachments. When I was streamlining the cords in my bathroom I found that the adapters for many of the devices I use (shaver, trimmer, Alexa, toothbrush) were so big that I couldn't easily fit them into a cable organizer box. I got several of these adapters and was able to convert they low-draw devices to slim USB adapters so now I have all my devices plugged into a power strip and it's all hidden by a slim cable management box on the counter. It looks so good!

This adapter works great! I'm using a Ugreen 65W brick on it, and it cycles easily through all the available voltages. I was able to confirm them all with my multimeter as well. If I have one gripe, it's that there's no marking for what polarity the barrel plug is. It's positive tip, for the record. It would be nice if they included a polarity reversing adapter in the package since not every device is wired for positive tip. Depending on the device, you could damage something if you plug a postive tip barrel into a negative tip jack. There are plenty of these available on Amazon, so getting one isn't a huge issue, but it would be nice as a pack-in. Rating this four stars. It loses a star for the lack of polarity markings and not having a way to reverse it.

It's very important to understand that all this device does is ask for a voltage from your USB-C charger and output it through the barrel jack. If you want to get 20v but the charger you're using only outputs 5v and 9v, it won't work as there's no voltage conversion. Make sure whatever you'd want to connect it to can output the voltage you need. That doesn't matter to me, though - all of my adapters support up to 20 volts. And it works great with those! Being able to charge a laptop with the same normal USB-C adapter I normally use is really convenient. If I could make one complaint, it's that the selected voltage is forgotten after you unplug it. A rotary switch or something of the sort would've probably worked better in this situation.

This basically does what it’s supposed to, but the main problem with it is that you can’t get it to retain its power setting. This can be a problem in any case where the usb power supply might shut off and come back on. I got this primarily to test USB chargers and power banks with an electronic load tester. It’s not very good for this purpose because of the fact that power can get interrupted (by overcurrent protection in the supply during testing, for example) and having it reset to 5V every single time is extremely annoying. Switching voltages is also just not implemented too well. For example, you hold the button down and nothing happens until you release it. So initially you wonder just how long you need to hold it down. Errors are not very descriptive and only indicate that it failed to negotiate a specific voltage but not anything about why. I was also not able to get more than 70W through this cable at 20V, and it does seem a bit too thin to be a USB PD 5A (5 amp x 20V = 100W) cable. USB PD SPR (“Standard Power Range”) cables need to be able to handle 5A, rather than just over 3A like the 60-65W cables (3A x 20V = 60W). The fact that I can only get 70W max through this makes me think it’s supposed to be a 65W cable. But I can’t get an e-mark tag response from the cable so it isn’t even claiming to support anything like it should be if it’s USB-C compliant. I suppose there will eventually be competing products and this one will probably get improved, but for now this one is kind of half implemented and I’d recommend using a more reliable trigger module for anything important.

Functionally, this product is the perfect solution to a number of problems I was having. Typically I used it in the 12V mode at about 1.5A (this is the low end of what this cable's output is rated for) and it worked fine for charging my DC device, however in the past few days I noticed that it sometimes did not make a good connection to my device. I thought that perhaps the port on it was not making full contact, but today I noticed that bending the cord along caused it to connect/disconnect near the charging end. I have been very careful and delicate with this cord to ensure this would not happen but it seems my efforts were in vain. I can only imagine this will quickly deteriorate and soon become completely unusable even after bending the cord into the proper placement to make contact, and since the cable is not interchangeable I will have to purchase something else when that happens. Do not buy. The cheap price is not worth the cheap construction. Pay extra for something that will last.
