Review: Excellent writing, enticing art, a must-have comic - This has been my first Daredevil comic. I’ve watched the TV series previously, and I wanted to delve into what I heard was one of Marvel’a best series, and hearing that S3 of the Daredevil series is gonna be based off the ‘Born Again’ arc, I figured it would be nice to read the book before the tv series. And was I disappointed with my premiere venture into Daredevil’s comic series. Hell no! (forgive the pun). The story is deep and dark and a total deconstruction of the character, taking everything away from him, turning Matt Murdock crazy. The writing was so well done that I think it’s be considered a literary masterpiece. The art was, likewise, brilliant, giving a real dark undertone. There was a nice addition of Captain America in the last issue, and Nuke as in the last two issues. I wasn’t as much a fan of Nuke being in, but that being said, his inclusion wasn’t all too bad. The Trade Paperback itself is great quality. It’s got everything in it, the complete arc, with an extra issue just before the arc stars , Issue #226, in the back, which is a nice touch. As I mentioned, it’s in the back, so if you’re wondering why the first issue is #227, that’s why. Overall, a great book for someone to begin reading Daredevil. I recommend watching the TV show first just to get the basic information, who Matt is, who the Kingpin is, Daredevil’s powers and etc. Or just go onto a Wikipedia page. But a must-read for any Daredevil fan or just any Marvel fan. Review: One of the Marvel greats - This book has become one of my favourite comics of all time. Matt Murdoch's life falls apart when his identity is sold to the kingpin by the former love of his life, Karen Page, for a fix of heroin, an addiction that has taken her life, her integrity and her very soul from her. One by one, matt's loved ones leave his life for various reasons that have been caused by the kingpin, who has become obsessed with destroying the minor hinderance that is Daredevil. His business, his home and his acclimated wealth are all taken from him by the criminal godfather, who spins his web of blackmail, bribes and deceit to try and end matt's life, even making it impossible for matt to vent it all out by becoming the man without fear. as he fights his way through homelessness, loneliness, a crippled body and a diminishing faith in justice, the kingpin overlooks one major thing; that a man without hope is a man without fear. i loved the internal dialogues from the 4 main characters centred on in this graphic novel, and the themes revealed through their struggles and relationships with fellow characters; Matt murdoch's redemption and reformation as he learns to love and forgive, karen page's struggle against soul-destroying odds to reach out for the only glimpse of hope she has left, the kingpin's growing obsession with the small but blown-out-of-proportion issue of an arch nemesis who simply refuses to die, and foggy nelson's struggle to find a ath that will allow him o be happy and also honour his mysterious friend matt. Throughout this book, you see exactly who the man under the red-devil suit is, what he's made of, and why it is that he is such a tragic hero. it gave me a new understanding and, indeed, an newfound respect for the man that is the one without fear. truly an inspiring hero, if ever there was one.

One of the Marvel greats
This book has become one of my favourite comics of all time. The pose and expression in each scene makes every moment feel like a tense and well paced thriller
This is an essential story for Daredevil, especially if you're a fan of the TV show. The art, though definitely of the 80's, is simply stunning. The pose and expression in each scene makes every moment feel like a tense and well paced thriller. The writing is obviously Frank Miller, so you'll love it or hate it. Personally I think this era of Miller - though almost relentlessly gritty, is some of the best comic stuff you'll ever read.

It really does live up to the hype
This is often called one of the best Daredevil stories as well as one of the best stories written by Frank Miller. And it certainly is that. It's a fascinating character study for Daredevil, a dark and depressing arc that remains realistic and never becomes gratuitous. Matt is pushed to rock bottom and slowly starts to claw his way back up. This is also a great showcase for The Kingpin, a strong reminder of why he's on of the best villains is Marvel comics with his influence and the fear he inflicts on others.

Daredevil betrayed for a fix.
The influence of this story on Daredevil's third series is plain to see, and having once considered Miller to be a one-trick pony with The Dark Knight Returns I'm now pleased to see he has a second one up his sleeve. The story, Matt Murdock's life falls apart after his identity is betrayed to Wilson Fisk, is compelling and does a great job of conveying how difficult life for the little people on the ground can still be in a world of gods and men in flying suits of armour. Indeed, as with the series, the antics of the Avengers don't really matter that much for most who still have to go through the daily 9-5 grind. It also does a terrific job of utilising the C-list Captain America villain Nuke, who should have been kept around longer in the Netflix portion of the MCU. And Miller's turning of The Kingpin from a joke Spider Man villain into an A-list Marvel monster is a joy. The story is wrapped up a little too quickly and Miller's portrayal of women as either whores or saints, but all in need of a man to save them, might rankle. Karen Page is nothing more than a victim in this story, a far cry from the battered but determined and resourceful survivor of the Netflix show. All in all though, a terrific story.

"A man without hope is a man without fear!" — this is a memorable and effective tagline for this story. Clearly, Frank Miller is at the peak of his creative powers when he wrote this story. Although Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns" has a very slight edge over "Daredevil: Born Again", I still would not want to be without the latter. Both stories are excellent each in their own way and should be in the collection of every graphic novel fan. I am clearly hoping that this story will one day be made into a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. The 2003 eponymously-titled movie starring Ben Affleck was a dud and Daredevil fans definitely deserve much better! Verdict: Highly recommended. Five stars.

Uno de los mejores cómics de superhéroes que debes tener en tu colección. Llego en muy buen estado, mi única queja esque es una nueva impresión y viene la portada completa la imagen no en negro como la anterior edición pero lo recomiendo totalmente.
