No stars for the 35mm but 5 stars for the 30mm. This selection is too loose for the current Billy bookcases. We agree with the other poster and exchanged for the 30mm. It gives a nice snug fit. Product is fine and does the job.

Used them to join three Billy bookshelves together. Easy to install. Did just what I needed. I painted them white and they blend right in.

M6x30mm worked perfectly for the billy bookcases

We own both white and Birch-effect bookcases. The 35mm fit the Birch version perfectly, but are just a little too long for the white. We purchased the 30mm for the white and they work well. I don't know bookshelves of the same color are always the same thickness, or if it varies by manufacturing lot. If in doubt, I suggest measuring or ordering the 30mm.

I agree with other reviewers here - if you have real Ikea Billys, then you want the 30mm parts, not the 35s. 35 is the total width of the two edges bolted together, and 30mm provides a snugger connection.

Worked really well on an IKEA Billy build out. Do note that this just doesn’t fit into the predrilled holes that come on the furniture and that you need 2 different sized drill bits to make these work. But functionality could not be better.

I just bought the 30s to connect my billy bookcases, and they seemed too short. I ordered the 35s and they seem just right.

I watched a YouTube video on how to securely connect my series of Ikea Billy bookcases and it said these barrel fasteners were available on Amazon. I made sure I had all the length and diameter specs before I searched and the first thing that popped up was this product. Can't be simpler than that. These are low profile, strong and fit the cases perfectly and securely.
