POWER PROBE!
This just adds another GOLD star to the Power Probe package. This adapter plugs in between the Power Probe and whatever tip you are using and limits the output of the probe to 5 volts, so you don't have to worry about hurting any modules or sensors or circuits that operate on a 0 to 5 volt system. I am 63 years old and been working on cars since 1972 or so. I have been using the Power Probe since 2001 after I borrowed one from a mechanic in my shop. All the tools that I have bought help me complete my job. Some tools stand out as exceptional and of all the tools that have come along, this Power Probe system stands on top. Whoever the Power Probe people are, they all deserve to get a pat on the back from every mechanic and DIY'er out there. The people in this company really take the weight off a mechanics shoulders. Anyone out there using test lights, jumper wires, batteries, etc, repairing electrical systems and electronics on cars, trucks or equipment should stop now and buy a Power Probe or borrow one and try it. It makes testing electrical circuits and devices simple and each time you use it, you come up with a new and faster way to diagnose and to prove the diagnosis is correct. Also, I am a mechanic and not a salesperson for Power Probe and I am not getting paid for this review. I have purchased this adapter through Amazon and use it at work regularly. It is flawless as is the rest of the Power Probe and its attachments.

Great addition
Works like a charm. Reduces output of power probe to 5 volts, to be used with ECM input/output situation diagnostics

Perfect!
Love how easy it makes it to send 5v to systems on my truck and made it so much faster finding the problem

Gets 12v down to 5v
This is a power probe accessory that reduces the output voltage from 12v down to 5v. It works. My only gripe with this is that you don't SEE the 12v being reduced - the power probe still shows 12v being supplied. I would like this more if it had a readout displayed as well. This would increase the price obviously... so I guess it just is what it is. It's a good accessory if you need it.

Works with Autel power probe.
Works with my Autel power probe, so I'm sure it works on actual Power Probe brand. Make sure you hook the ground lead up. It puts out 5 volts for testing automotive computer circuits.

nice add on
I snapped this up to add to my power probe at work since everything is going PWM and 5V reference these days, this will allow me to make a quick and accurate diagnosis.
