Perfect fit for jeep deer hit window
Wisconsin deer body slammed window of my jeep flew forward and broke a clip. Only a tiny dent in hood. Super luck girl I am. Fixed latch myself very easy deer ran off with twin fawns. I was more upset about deer them my jeep. Till hunting season that is

Good replacement, not so easy install because of inner fender nut placement.
Appear to be good quality, factory latches lasted 10 years, if these make it 5 we'll be set. Easier if you pull grill to access nuts on inner fender, but still a bit tedious.Look great work fine!

jeep Hood latch
They are junk and dangerous. The hood latches don’t hold the hood tight when driving and causing hood flutter. Also the latches after two months started to come apart and the pins holding them together were missing, which is very dangerously.

Improvement on the OEM latches
I have tried several different versions of hood latches, including the metal and lockable types. But I have to admit, while some held better than others and stopped hood flutter, they were difficult to close or open and had to be adjusted on frequent occasion. So I was happy to find these improved models of the OEM hatches. Although I just installed these, I like them better than the stiffer metal hatches. I will update the review later to let you know if there is a hood flutter or not with these. But I really, I am happy with these.

Good in a pinch, but....
I got these because I had an old Daystar latch break and needed something quick. These were the only overnight option. They fit perfectly, but as with most JK latches, not real simple to install, due to the reach involved on the lowers. They work great under 50 MPH, but anything over that and the hood shake is obvious. On the interstate at 70-75mph, the hood shake is prominant and distracting, only one month after install, so it is not like they deteriorated. If you need quick latches these will get you through, but if you drive over 55mph and have time to get something better, do it.
