Stress free drinking cup
I bought this for my Dad who has had a stroke and has been left with tremors and poor coordination . He had been using a sippy cup from the chemist but was still spilling and knocking the cup over. So I had a look on Amazon and found this little beauty ! Wish I had ordered more, this cup is so much more stable with easy to grip handles and being clear you can see when the drink or soup is finished, the spout is ideal for Dad and easily takes a straw as well. And there's been no spills with the cup as it is harder to knock over. Now my Mum is poorly with a urine infection and has been using this cup so I am going to order some more. Oh and it's very easy to clean too.

Problem solved - almost
Since he has been ill my husband has spent too much time having soup mopped up from clothes and surroundings. He is thrilled to be able to get all his soup inside rather than outside! This beaker has a good sized mouthpiece for liquidized food, can be heated in the microwave, washes up beautifully and has a nice wide base so no upsets. The lid fits firmly, and the beaker is very safe to hold - good handles, and the outside doesn't get too hot. Excellent design. Quick delivery. I have just ordered another. Delighted.Sadly I'm revising my review. I have bought 3 of these as I was so pleased, but it turns out that they are not microwave safe. I do not heat contents for long (less than a minute each time) and not too hot, but one mug has cracked in half, and the others have lots of tiny cracks within the plastic material, so will probably go the same way. I ruined one lid by forgetting to remove it before heating, so it is now too loose to stay on. The mugs are still the best option for our purposes, but the microwave issue is a big drawback.

Made independent drinking possible again!
Previously, unless my 103y mother was on top form she would spill her drink by not holding the mug level. With the Caring Mug in both hands she can drink even when at a lower level of ability without spilling any! Place it in her hands and she is off! No ned to stand over her making sure it is going in her mouth. The handles are large, well formed with grippy nodules to aid confidence.Holds about the same as a decent size mug -about 300ml?It feels and looks good and even gives me confidence that it would work.Huge step up for Mum's independence not having to have someone help her all the time drinking.Thoroughly recommend.

Good, but overpriced.
My mother has Alzheimer's and has trouble holding things now and so this mug seemed like the perfect solution. Prior to this, I had bought her a ceramic double handled mug, which was supposedly for the elderly etc., but, I found it got incredibly hot, which, considering who it was meant for, seemed rather dangerous. This mug is much better for her, simply because it seems to be easier for her to use, although she did have problems getting the mouthpiece to her mouth at first. My one criticism of it would be the price, which like all things aimed at the elderly, seems overpriced for what it actually is, which is essentially an adult plastic baby cup.

Looks like glass but actually plastic
This is a good product inasmuch as it's sturdy and won't fall over easily. As others have said, the lid is a tight fit, but I can see that's necessary so it won't come easily when it use. I read the descritpion carefully to see if it was made of plastic or glass, as I would have preferred a glass one for my partner (much healthier than plastic to drink out of), but there was no mention. It is definitely plastic.

Well made and quite sturdy, quality feel
This mug is useful for people who are very weak and cannot cope with a normal mug. I bought it for my husband when he was too weak to use a normal cup. It can be used without the spout or with the spout. The spout is useful when the person cannot control their mouth muscles well enough. The overall feel of the mug is of quality. It is quite substantial despite being lightweight and it feels well made.

It did not quite do what I was hoping it did.
I purchased this for my elderly mother in law ( 99 ) who is experiencing difficulties holding on to cups and ended up dropping the whole contents on the floor , bedding , clothes etc. I was hoping it had the same protection as the ones which toddlers use but when tipping it over, however there is still a fair amount of spillage although far less than from a normal cup. The weight varies in how full the cup is filled. It is fairly easy to clean. I would have given it 5 stars if the spout did not spill so much when dropped.

Excellent buy
I bought this for my elderly stepdad when he came out of hospital but was still bedbound and was finding it difficult to drink without spilling in bed. It proved to be so good that I ordered a second, so that he has one for water and one for hot drinks. Very well made, the lid is tight enough not to come off easily when drinking, but not too tight that it is difficult to remove. Also, it insulates very well indeed, so much so that I add some cold water to his drinks so that he does not burn his mouth. Highly recommended.
