Candy molds
I ordered this mold for a special occasion and it was fantastic. I often order molds and they all usually work out so good. They are easy to use, easy to clean, not as easy to pop out like silicone but I honestly prefer this type of mold better. The sturdiness is pretty good just don't be hulking it lol. The size was great for what I needed and over all it was great for the value and it did what I needed.

Nice chocolate mold
I really liked the ease of using this mold. The chocolates released quite easily. I had a couple of them break, but I just re-melted the chocolate and re-casted. Very sturdy mold. I would buy again

Excellent with some tips
Tips. I was new to chocolate molds, so I had a rough start. But it’s so simple. Wash mold real good and dry. Use melts or chocolate, fill up. Then into freezer for 10 min, remove and give the mold a little twist. Air dry the mold so no condensation is on it, then fill the again. Take your first set and sandwich them into the melted in the mold. Clean excess that oozes out with soft spatula. Then pop into freezer for another 10 minutes. That’s it!

Didn't even get to use it
I bought this because I wanted to make a chess board cake with chocolate chess pieces for my husband. This was delivered with so many dents in it. And they weren't dents that I could just pop back out if I pushed in. No, it was like as if the plastic melted and then cooled that way. I couldn't even use it and I had to do something else for my husband's cake.

Easy to use
The plastic mold is made quite well. My melted chocolate was pretty thick and I had to use a toothpick to get rid of bubbles. These pop out of the mold very easily. Very happy.

The right thing to order
If you're looking to make a set of regulation-size classic Staunton pieces, this is the thing to order. My results above - decent; I think it would be possible to clean these up a lot, with some time and care. If you're sticking 2 together for 3D pieces, underfill the molds not overfill. It's a lot easier to just use a bit more melted chocolate when glueing together the halves, rather than trying to sand down overfull pieces. For a full set, you'll need almost a pound each of dark chocolate and white melts. I used the Ghiradelli wafers for both and they worked well. However - if, like me, you're picturing a chess cake, bear in mind that a regulation chess board is 21" and a standard round cake is 8-9". It's gonna get real crowded, and you probably do not need all 16 pawns!
