This torch is really powerful. It really heats up but not the sort of thing you need to put on max for too long anyway The other setting serve their purpose too Would recommend in terms of value performance, build quality and bragging rights -if that's your thing. Get one especially if on special. You can't go wrong.

This light was purchased for myself last year. It is heavy, bright, and gets hot. This is not an everyday carry light. The light is absolutely beneficial for special use cases. My use? I use it to check on cattle when walking in the field. It is more of a flood light and illuminates a large area. In Winter when it is cold out turn this thing up and it gets warm. I would run it on it for a half minute or so and then just wrap my hands around it and it worked like a hand warmer. My other use for this is during power outages. Set it on its base and it is stable a bright. I use on the lowest setting at night and it gives plenty of light. It will light up my living room brighter than my ceiling fan. I have also used it sitting on the back porch, again on its base shining on the ceiling and it will light up the entire patio with no problems. If you are thinking about getting this light go for it. At this price it is a bargain and I am going to order two more. One for truck, one for bedroom, and one for the garage.
