You don't know what you don't know...
And I never knew these things existed until attending a gathering at a friends. When they opened the new wine bottle, I mentioned they should let it breathe a bit before filling the glasses. She pulls out this clear, "tear-drop" shaped device and pours the new wine through it, and Wah-La!Simply amazing - no sharpness, no bite, no new-wine taste at all, just Cabernet at its best.So I bought one, keep it on a shelf above the sink, and use it with every bottle. And then I recently mentioned it to another friend, and she'd never heard of it, so I sent one to her.Such a simple operation - lift it out of the nifty holder, pour the wine through it and directly into the glass, run hot water through the Aerator, and put it back in the decorative holder; ready for the next time.Terrific idea, great "invention", solid design, simple to use, perfect results, AND less than twenty bucks. If you drink wine and you've never used one, buy it. Not only is it functional to a degree you'll not understand until you try it for yourself, it also looks real nice sitting on a shelf and is so simple to clean. And if you can't afford a 20, send me homemade cookies and I'll *buy one for you! *"Some restrictions apply" ;>)Lastly, I am not being reimbursed in any fashion for this review. Am merely appreciative of any product that does what it says it will do and is offered at a fair-market price.

Works well, conveniently portable
I recently bought wine at a garage sale, yes, you read it right! For $5/bottle, why not! This stuff was full of sediment, &!the corks were dry & brittle. I need a decanter so as not to choke on all that crud. After much debate on what kind to get (glass bottle, w/ or w/o stopper, cleaning wand or cleaning beads, etc), I settled on this one. I used it last night, & it was easy to use, aerates nicely, & easy to clean. It’s conveniently small size & storage bag allows it to be purse portable, & I can take it out by pool without worry of breaking like a traditional glass bottle decanter. At first, I thought the stand was gimmicky; but I quickly realized that it helps keep it from rolling when not in use, takes up less table space than laying it down, & helps drain it.The filter is removable, & everything is easy to clean! No cleaning wand or beads needed! Plus it’s small size allows it to be stored in a drawer, leaving precious shelf space for more wine! This is a very nice product, and I will buy it again. It would make a lovely hostess gift.

Great little tool to have available
Very easy and convenient. I would recommend using on cheaper wines for normal pours, try small samples of your favorites, it definitely changes the overall presentation.Cleaning is so simple, just rinse once you are done and place in the rubber stand. I would highly recommend this to wine lovers.

Awesome aerator
I was skeptical about aeration so decided to purchase this product for the great price and boy am I satisfied. I had my fiancé pour wine into one cup with out aeration an then one into cup with the aerator and noticed a significant taste difference, I was able to pick out the wine glass she poured into with the aerator. This aerator is sharp looking an made out of acrylic which is more durable than glass and better than plastic. You will be happy with purchasing this product ...

great value
it works well, I've been very happy with it. I think it works great for the price. It really helps the flavor of cheap red wines. I like the small Black Box wines (it's very economical for someone who just wants an occassional glass of wine). My aerator helped with the flavor immensly

Wonderful Aerator
I love this little aerator so much that I started buying them as gifts to my wine loving friends. It not only makes any wine taste so much better it also looks really pretty sitting on my kitchen counter. I love that it’s compact so it doesn’t take up a lot of space. It’s exactly as described. I would totally recommend!

EVERYTHING I HOPED FOR
This comes with a stand to catch the drops, a screen to catch any sediments, and it makes an enjoyable gargling sound as the wine goes through it. I'd call it a Wine Gargler. Anyways, it is sturdy and does the trick of softening new wines. As for the little velveteen case it comes with, you can keep your spare change in it. If you are going to travel and want a wine gargler, I'd go with one of the very light models that sticks in the neck of a bottle.
