Spectre Performance 8147 Air Duct Filter Adapter, Gray

The original one I bought for my reusable filter broke, and its impossible to find these at the auto parts store. This worked great as a replacement and lets me connect the filter media back to the cold air inlet on the fender of my 2004 Tacoma. I will add that I'm not the biggest fan of these modular intake systems you can build, particularly since they can leak air and cause your AF ratio to run lean, this causing your ECU to start throwing codes. I wanted to add a second battery to my 2004 3.4L Tacoma though, and removing the stock intake was the only way I could create room for an auxiliary battery. I've since modified it again with additional ducting, but this is how the adapter fits and functions.

Had to glue it in wouldn't stay by itself in air filter is my one and only complaint but it does fit without glue with spectre air filter I'll give them that used with k&n

These fit in pretty much any 3"-4" cone filter and instantly give you the ability to add a ram air / or cold air CAI set up! You just need a velocity stack, and or 3" a air ducting tube I USED both an 3" air duct tube and a velocity stack at the end and positioned it oustide the engine bay near the front grille and got huge hp gains ! Sounds mean too
