Practical guide on everything you need to know to get going with using the Design Sprint process
Since the book publication in 2016, the Design Sprint process has become a familiar approach to efficiently solving big business problems/validating hypothesis that involve high amounts of complexity/uncertainty/risk, and Jake gives the background as to how Design Sprints originated along with an in-depth account of how they went through the process to test some ideas at Google Ventures. Covering a variety of different experiments which they ran/problems they addressed made it a good read, including Slack (finding the best way to explain Slack to non-tech customers), Savioke Hotels (how hotel guests would react to a robot with personality, by experimenting through a robot delivering a toothbrush to a guests room), Flatiron Health (dealing with the complexities of getting cancer patients into clinical trials), and Blue Bottle Coffee (getting their value proposition clear on a new digital experience). The book is practical, so if you’re new to Design Sprints, you’ll find it easy to create a plan which you can apply across your product as well as understand the key ingredients needed, so whilst tools have evolved to make it easier more than ever to validate a hypothesis in a remote world for digital products using the likes of Figma, Miro, UserTesting… the fundamentals haven’t changed in that you need to: 1. Collaborate with people throughout the sprint 2. Have a decision maker (normally Product Manager) 3. Identify a high priority problem to solve 4. Ideate and create prototype/s 5. Get feedback from potential customers “When you get into a regular rhythm of listening to customers, it can remind you why you’re working so hard in the first place.”

Every start up founder needs to read this book!
Every start up founder who’s bootstrapping like a boss needs to read this book. It’s a game changer for MVPs and beyond! It honestly blew my mind how helpful this strategy is. The sprint is a genius approach to a world where there’s so many decisions to make that we create extra decisions to make for ourselves when we didn’t need to. This book not only shows you how to streamline your start up to success but how to I’m inner it into your business’ day to day functions too. If you’re a founder you need to read this. You can bin all the other books, this one will transform your business and inspire growth.

Very practical, useful and effective methodology synthesis
Solid and tried and tested process for trying to design new digital products quickly. Read the book then do a practice sprint to gather experience and you can make a difference in design. The only criticism is horrible layout on the kindle version with tiny illustrations that are really hard to see. Also most of this content is already on the Google Ventures blog, but this is the more refined and defined version. If you want a book on agile design process methodology and best practice this is it - no question. The actual process draws from earlier ideas such as design studio and these processes have other elements worth seeking out. Also the diverge part of this process can be used in isolation as a structured idea generation technique and yields much better results than a post-it note brainstorm that takes hours to collate. So this is a synthesis of some techniques from IDEO and art and architecture and personal insights from the author, into a cohesive whole that works for the way we work today.

What a week!
I’ve been in ‘Product’ for a number of years and, I must admit, I hadn’t use this technique before. The idea was suggested to me as we put a new product team together. So I watched a load of YouTube videos and bought this book so I was ready for the week. What a week! This technique really does move you, and your team, along so quickly! And, for our new team, we got to know each other and started to build a great rapport (and a great prototype 👍😀) whilst being productive.

Learn the how, what and why of the GV Sprint facilitation process
A quick read - which you can both sprint through - and keep as a useful reference. Whether new to facilitation or highly experienced, there’s something for you. Handy illustrations, relevant research and lots of case examples makes it a super accessible guide.

Excellent but not for all scenarios
It’s been a tough call whether to give this book a 4 or 5 star review. The process outlined in the book is good but very prescriptive and Labour and resource intensive. As soon as someone doesn’t show up or focuses on other things then the process breaks down. Also for a regular Agile development sprint when maybe solving minor customer feedback issues it’s not appropriate. I think it’s clearly a case of trying the process learning from it and working out when it’s appropriate to use it and then getting EVERYONE to commit to it. I found the biggest issue is getting people 100% of the time for 5 consecutive days without taking calls, fielding emails, having other meetings or leaving early, arriving late or whatever.

Game Changer. Repeatable Process for Solving Real Problems in Any Context
Game changer. I pre-ordered this book while working at a leading UX agency in Brighton. I read it at the beginning of a new project and tried the method Jake describes in the book. We ran two sprints with the client, on two different problems. We solved core usability issues, built shared understanding with the team and exceeded stakeholder expectations. It is an effective and fun process that anyone can follow, not just designers. I highly recommend reading this book if you have thorny problems to solve and are looking for a reliable and repeatable method for solving them quickly.

Creative workshops have never been so good!
If you're in UI/UX this book is a must read. I am a senior UI designer and I run creative workshops at my job, and this book helped me implement some changes in order to be a more effective facilitator. These guys have put in the work in fine tuning the sprint, and have provided every bit of detail throughout the whole book so that you can get a head start. I'd recommend this to anyone who runs creative workshops

One of the most important books in my 30 year (mostly design) career
I've now bought 3 copies of this book. Even if you're not planning a design sprint and are interested in design thinking, product design, wicked problem-solving - this book is an extremely valuable resource. Practical tips and some fascinating anecdotes. Knapp and co know what they are doing and it's great that they shared it.

Um processo que funciona
Estava com problemas para integrar o time.
