Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This plug works very well, and was a great value. (I’d say it works better than the wemo which i paid twice as much for). I use it with an amazon echo dot, and it was pretty straightforward to setup and connect. The outlet synced into the smart home section of my Alexa app flawlessly. I think this houzetek plug works better than my WeMo plug. I have been using it over a week and never had a problem with WiFi connection; unlike the wemo which my Echo keeps telling me “cannot connect to Belkin wemo” at random times. The smart plug is a good size and leaves the bottom socket free in my outlet. The instructions tell you to reset the plug, but they were a little vague and confusing on how to do that; still, I got it working in under 5 minutes.

Less than 45 days worth of use and the device does not work anymore. The lights make it look like it is on or off however it does not allow power to go through the device.

The on/off button stopped working after 6 months. Alexa can turn it on and off but it’s still annoying.

I was not able to hook this up to my WiFi. Had to return

Wanted one of these so bad but this one is not reliable. I plug it in and set it up, then it is always showing that it is offline. Sorry, but not the best purchase.
