Could this be used as a jigsaw desk?

Can this table be used for painting on canvas?

Id think so as there is a lip at the bottom that would stop the canvas slipping off. Use it tikted though as if flat then more chance for it to slide about as nothing to secure it in place unless bought a grip separately for the top
