This stuff works! When my buddy Jack had bloodwork before recommended dental surgery, the vet called to tell me that they could not do the procedure and that he was “in the throws of kidney failure”. We had taken our neutered male cat, Smokey, to our veterinarian two months prior to ordering AminAvast because he had been throwing up between 3-5 times daily, seemed to be drinking water all of the time, and had begun losing weight. My husband's ex-wife had rescued him, as an adult cat, from an animal shelter around 15 years ago. She was unsure of his age then, but we adopted him from her nearly 10 years back when she could no longer care for him, so we know that he is, at very least, 16 years old. He recently developed a mass on his back paw and cyst-like lumps in several places on his body, so we asked our vet if those things could possibly be related to his vomiting. So, I immediately logged into Amazon and placed my order, not really knowing what to expect. The bottle arrived two days later and I gave Smokey his first dose mixed into a little canned food. He didn't turn his nose up at it, which he usually does with all medications, so it must not have a distasteful odor or flavor. After a few days, he was still vomiting a lot, but some customers warned that it had taken a couple of months for them to really notice a change. We didn't have to wait that long. After only 4 DAYS of being on AminAvast, Smokey has completely stopped throwing up, he is drinking regular amounts of water, he's got that old confidence back and he's even started putting a little weight back on. This supplement has made a huge difference for my cat. Before I started using it, I struggled getting my cat to eat much. He’s gained weight, which had been a huge concern due to his kidney disease. I’m hoping that next time the vet does bloodwork, his kidney functioning has improved.

This product is great. I have a 19 year old Snowshoe cat with kidney issues. The vet gave Jin a year to live. That was 19 months ago. We put one capsule (pulled apart and the powder mixed in food).in the morning and evening. In the evening we also ad a liquid vitamin B-12. He is active, eats well, not sick but drinks a lot of water. We attribute his health to Aminavast. We also give him a water IV every other day…probably 100cc….then a Fancy Feast treat. He has no issue with IV..about 5 minutes.

My cat had no problem eating this when mixed with wet food. I believe it helped him but it's hard for me to be 100% certain. That's because vet visits were difficult with that cat so the blood tests that would confirm this supplement's efficacy were not conducted. I provided him with subcutaneous saline injections to sustain his kidneys. That will always be the most effective way to control kidney disease. Nonetheless, this supplement certainly did not hurt and I'm under the impression that it probably was helpful.
