Nice quality sound for Home Assistant voice notifications.
I paired this with an M5Stack Atom Lite ESP32 and a MAX98357 DAC/amplifier and set the volume at +12dB by shorting the gain pin to ground. The Atom is running ESPHome. I am driving it with the Piper TTS add-on to Home Assistant. It works great - volume is at a standard voice level and the voice is very clear. Overall it sounds better/clearer than a cell call on speaker with a volume that is similar. Below is the yaml I'm using on the Atom, if that is helpful. Of course your chosen pins may vary. Works well and sounds alright. Nice little test speaker for DIY projects before committing to a nicer one.

Great for DIY
These are great little speakers; They are small and compact (you could probably fit them both on an altoids can) but the sound quality is nice; for now I am just messing around with them using an arduino uno but these will eventually end up on a larger project I haven't gotten all the parts for. I've also hooked them up to a small amplifier board I had around and they sound nice.
