This was really easy to mount on my hiboy electric scooter. Since I like to ride it the two miles to the grocery store when I just need a few things, it's very convenient to have a lock like this. It works just like it says in the listing. You push the tab to pull it out, turn the wheels to your combination open it up and put it around your scooter and something that won't move. I totally realize that this is not a super secure lock. It's only four digits and I'm sure it's easily defeatable by a skilled thief or picker. But just the fact that it's on there isn't big enough to turn it for 99% of the time if you're just going to be away from it for a short period of time. I would not use this type of a lock for any type of a risky environment. But it works great and I think it would work fine for someone that used their scooter to ride to school or work also. I just like the fact that I don't have to remember to bring it when I go somewhere on my scooter and that it has a designated storage spot so I don't have to figure out where to put it.

The lock looks good, but form and function are lacking. After a half dozen uses my son locked his scooter and it failed to unlock. It took very little effort to cut the cable with bolt cutters and then I discovered why. The outer covering of the cable magnifies the size of the cable giving the illusion that the cable is much thicker than it really is. The cable is very thin, so if you want something that will secure your scooter you might want to look elsewhere, because this is weak.

My 8 yo can use this lock easily. What I like the most is the easy storage device on her handle bars so she doesn’t forget to put the lock on. Programming it was easy and she can easily put her code in to unlock. Overall this is a great purchase and age appropriate for tweens.

Works like a charm. So much better than a cable and separate combination lock. And the gizmo to hang the cable on my scooter is very useful.

I wish I could give a higher review. I had only used the lock for about 2 weeks before it jammed up when I was trying to lock my scooter. I had to have campus security cut it the cable so I could get my scooter loose.
