Not Amazing, But I Love it!
These days, I generally stream radio from my phone or tablet to a Bluetooth speaker. But sometimes you want the simplicity of a transistor radio. This device is tiny. Make it a dream to carry around the house. In my area, I found the FM tuning was better than AM. But its compact size means its easy to move around an area till your station comes in well. The sound is good and loud. Much louder than any tablet or cell phones built in speakers. It takes two double A batteries. And it will play a long time before you have to replace. Although I haven't tested it, I imagine you could listen continually for weeks before it ran out of juice. It also has a great retro design. So it looks nice sitting on a desk or table. But although I love the little thing. I cannot give it more than three stars. Because the tuning isn't accurate enough. And the sound though loud, and appealing, doesn't have good dynamic range. Even in speakers this small, you can expect more. But I got this for less than $7. So I'm perfectly happy.

Tunes only the strongest stations
This radio is incapable of separating and tuning more than half of the AM or FM stations that are available on other radios, even cheap ones, in my major metropolitan area. Moving the tuning dial 1/8th of an inch covers more than 80 points on either band, so only the strongest signals are actually separable. Furthermore, a strong signal is audible at a point nowhere near its nominal place on the dial, completely overriding all the signals in between. The tuning dial is illegible, consisting of dark gray numbers on a black background. If you only want to listen to a few of the strongest stations in your area, such as a typical 24 hour news channel, then you might want this item. But forget scanning a wider range of stations.

Great value
It was smaller than I expected but that might have something to do with me not checking the dimensions listed.Very good sound for the size and picks up the local stadiums very clearly. Would highly recommended for use during walks, taking to sporting events, or even just home use.F.Y.I., mine was in the on position when I received it so there was a little startle when I installed the batteries. If you are easily rattled, check that yours in the off position first.

What A Great Memory-maker
60 years ago I would walk around my neighborhood delivering my newspapers and listening to my transistor radio that sat comfortably in my shirt pocket. This great little HAPITO portable radio is perfect for me. Not only does it remind me of my days as a 12-year-old but it also works just as well if not better and probably at a lower cost than I paid 60 years ago.Of course, since I live in Florida I am prepared now for the next few hurricanes and a coming power failure. I always have AA batteries two of which is all I need to keep this little radio going through the worst of storms.

Disappointing.
Compact, but maybe too small, Poor reception (only one AM station comes in although on a different radio several AM stations can be received). Volume range is really limited and you can barely hear the one AM station that does come in even with it turned up to the "maximum" volume. We will be returning this radio because it is completely useless to us.

Alright
Good but a little small.

Its Okay
When it works it's great. If you bump it while its on the volume goes way down to the point that you cannot hear it. Then I turn it off and back on again, and it's fine, for a little bit.

Very compact.
Pleased with the little radio. It was a bit smaller than I had imagined but I should have guessed when it is described as a "mini pocket radio". Works fine.
