wasn't sure if these would be overkill for my desktop setup. glad i bought these they are substantially better than the z407 i replaced. sounds amazing, the remote is very handy to have, bluetooth works well, they look good, can get very loud, good customisation with the option to adjust bass treble etc on the speaker itself

Connected to my mini PC via RCA to 3.5mm, I'm more than happy. The sound quality is better than expected at this price point and having treble and bass controls means you can easily adjust them to get the right sound for the room your in. Lots of bass, I wasn't prepared for that.

Expected a lot more for the price. I have a pair of £80 bluetooth speakers that are just as good but they are battery operated so I bought these.

I did quite a lot of research on high-quality speakers, and apart from the £1000 ones that you can buy from very expensive brands, Edifier speakers seem to be the best bank for your buck. I am very satisfied with the quality of the sound that they produce. I have connected one of the speakers to my computer via the optical cable (Toslink) that was included in the box and there’s also one special cable to connect one speaker to the other.You can also use Bluetooth, and this is the default setting that was first enable when I connected the speakers to my computer, but I would recommend (unless absolutely necessary) to use one of the physical cables for the best quality and lack of delay. You don’t really need to use the remote that you get in the box, apart from the first time to change it to optical connection, but it’s a lot easier adjusting the volume with the remote and not with the knobs on the back.Listening to music is a beautiful experience with these, and so is gaming. Just make sure you are absolutely centered between both speakers, so you don’t hear one side louder.

I am really picky when it comes to sound. Not an audiophile, but I am not easily satisfied.This set I'm super happy about. Great dynamic range, nice tweeters, balanced middle, very stong bass, very loud, too.I use them as PC speakers and they are fabulous at this. Games sound spectacular.Listening to music is also a pleasure - I thought I would need a woofer, but as I sit 50cm from them - there is no point, bass is much better than from my old 2.1 Z333 set.Before I got these, I tried LG SQC4R soundbar, but apart from woofer it was worse than the £50 Z333. Then I read about Edifier and decided to give it a try.The R1855DB can rival my Wharfedale's 220/230s that I got in the living room - there is no point comparing it to anything like a soundbar or gaming 2.1 sets (I got 3 such so I know what I'm talking about), as it's simply in the HI-FI league.Bonus: LG C3 TV can control their volume via optical, so if you plan on them just for TV, you won't need an extra remonte.Highly recommended.

For a pair of active speakers in a study connected to your PC these are excellent. I bought these to replace my old Edifier R1700BT which was pretty good. These are significantly better for just a slight increase in price. Excellent sound quality and they feel really solid.

Really great quality speakers, these served a nice upgrade from my precious Logitech Z333s which had a sub.The bass is really strong, for me a sub is not needed but the option is there. It’s clear the speakers are very high quality, they are quite heavy and solid feeling.Setting them up for my PC was very easy, two cables and a plug is all. The remote is pretty decent too, definitely worth getting this version over the one with a cheap remote.They sound amazing for music, i’m sure they won’t disappoint in time.
