just as good as the sony name brand batteries for cameras
Performs well. holds a charge for a while and recharges with no problem. This is a cheap alternative to the name brand at the fraction of the cost!! Well worth it! Works perfect in my old sony DSC-w70 camera.

It Works
Got my old Sony camera going again. Used it for the eclipse. It was cloudy. There was really bad atmospheric conditions, the sun is usually yellow through my telescopes solar filter, terrible conditions made it look like this, but by golly the battery works.

A good and budget friendly replacement battery
I purchased two of these batteries for my Sony DSC H20. I am a practical person when it comes to cost. These batteries delivers the power that you need for your digital camera. Just like any rechargeable batteries, regardless of what brand the manufacturer puts on, it will slowly loose it's full potential within two years. Batteries are batteries. It doesn't matter to me if it was an energizer, duracell, rayovac or a generic brand battery. What is important is that this particular battery is compatible with the G type Sony Nimh batteries, and only cost a fraction of the original equipment manufacturer's price. Believe me, you will get your money's worth by getting this extra batteries. My son just recently went to Disneyland, and by using this camera in P mode without flash, he was still able to take over 150 pictures and video clips the entire day just by using one Nimh battery. Just buy it and you won't regret it.

Just what I needed for my Sony cameras

Works in DSC-H50
This replaced the original battery in the Sony DSC-H50 that I bought in 2008. That battery didn't hold a charge after spending three months out in the woods. The new battery seems to hold a good charge. If it loses power soon I will revise the review. This is a Chinese made battery, not a Sony battery, although the original Sony battery was also made in China. Maybe the manager of the Chinese Sony factory has another factory where he makes things using technology he stole from Sony and tooling from the same company that supplies the Sony plant. If so, it would be the same quality. The battery arrived 8 days after I ordered it.
