It has a ton of traditional designs but some are definitely on the neo trad line so you get a good mix. I wish the basic shape layouts included text in them for why you are placing lines as it would help for when you want to draw your own designs. Instead of just follow these steps with images.

I bought this as a gift, and the person loved it.

This book is just okay, I would not buy it again had I known what it was like inside. I'd say it's definitely a beginner book, but a beginner to drawing in general, not just new to this style of tattoo art. Suitable for a kid who likes to draw, in my opinion.

All of the design are definitely cool and I would say are more neo-traditional. It is better as a reference book in my opinion. The steo-by-step does not show the basic shapes or under drawings very well. For instance for a rose in a woman's hair, step 1 a circle, step 2 draw the entire rose. But if you have a decent drawing foundation it's worth the money just not for a brand new beginner.

Really small and some is not what I call traditional tattoos. Do not recommend this at all.
