The Masterplug WBX-MS Weatherproof Electric Box has been an absolute lifesaver for managing outdoor electrical gear. We’ve got a few outdoor appliances and lights that need a safe power source, and this box provides just that. Well made Great price. Made putting the Christmas decorations outside a much easier task. I was that impressed I bought another one. Loads of cable so could move it around the garden. The box itself was large enough to fit those awkward shaped plugs and it was also waterproof with a nice tight fitting lid.Great product definitely recommend.

This is the best outdoors box out that I have found out there so far. I already have 6 that I've bought over the years as I keep buying more for their good quality .... BUT they are not very high in the inside so you need to understand this if your plugs have different shapes (for example, if you have plugs going LEFT, others going RIGHT and other ones going UP... it might mess up your box not being able to close the lid... so you'll need to have one box per "direction" of the plug... another thing that it is a little bit annyoing is the closing clasp... although the box is VERY secure and keeps the weather out of your leads (trust me, I live in Ireland and we get a lot os nasty weather here) but sometimes it's annoying to close that clasp... the trick is to make sure all 4 corners are fully aligned before you close glasp, then it's easy to close it.

Box works fine although wiring entries are fiddly. Mind you, they have to be watertight so that explains things. I've bought two units in Dec, 2024 to augment the two other exactly similar units bought some years ago. The older units are showing signs of wear and the box upper and base are not sealing tightly so, for this season, I've used aluminium foil self adhesive tape to seal the edges. This is not 8ntended as a criticism!Some observations1. The boxes are not intended as a permanent solution2. Biggest problem in use comes from the accessories attached. Different Christmas lights come with very different plug/transformers. Some have a transformer in line, others have a 90° turn. Having to use a mixture of these can overfill the box. This may well be the reason that the older units are showing signs of strain ...Would I buy more? I just have, and will probably buy another two for use next Christmas.They work well, and are robust. Space is adequate to take a 4 plug extension but maybe compromised by the style of plug/transformers being added. Not a problem with the box!Value for money? Certainly

Over the last 6 years I have amassed 10 of these boxes, some with the extension lead included, some not. 2-3 years ago the prices got ridiculous - some sellers asking £45! I'm pleased to say they have now returned to an affordable level. I use them mainly for outdoor Christmas light displays, some of the boxes permanently mounted, the rest come out when needed. I have never had a failure of any box to date.The boxes are made of sturdy plastic, with a strong hinge and positive closing catch. There is provision for a small padlock. A continuous flexible seal around the lid prevents water ingress. A removable plastic retainer keeps the cables in place, sealed between two soft rubber like sealing strips. The boxes permanently mounted outside show signs of fading but there is no sign of cracking or other degradation. Their location subjects them to direct sunlight and exposes them to rain, snow, wind and frost. The seals show no signs of degradation either.There is plenty of space within the boxes to accomodate 13A plugs, and most transformers used with christmas lights. One of my permamently mounted boxes houses a wifi controlled light controller for deck lights. It has been outside for 3 years, still looks brand new and continues to operate flawlessly.These boxes are my go to solution for safe watertight protection, and given their longevity, represent excellent value for money.

Have about 5 or six of these boxes now over the past few years. really great a Christmas time for outdoor lights/decorations. Big enough to hold the plug/transformer for the low voltage led lights.Easy to access and watertight so far issues with water getting in

waterproof, which is obviously its main selling pointsurvived 2 Christmases' and still in good shape, rubber cable seal can be a little fiddly and you sometimes need to be creative with bulky power adapters but not insurmountable
