Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop Replacement Microfibre Pad FG1M1900RED

Don't think I could find spare pad sold anywhere else, hence there was no discount on Amazon, but it is still reasonably priced. The mop itself is handy - with the dispenser/bottle supplied, you can use your favourite cleaning solution rather than having to stick to any particular brand. Sprays evenly and cleans well without much effort. Mop pad covers a good area so it is efficient.

This is a great product. I bought the mop about 6 months ago. It came with three pads but I ordered two more so that I always have a clean one to hand. I could not recommend this product highly enough. They clean my floors brilliantly and wash well in the washing machine.

For the environmentally conscious, the Rubbermaid Reveal mop is probably the best available alternative to the Swiffer WetJet and is definitely better than a string mop. I bought two "replacement" red mop pads so that I would have two to use and one spare. The mop pad is easily washable in a household washing machine and dryable either in the dryer or air-drying. It doesn't wrinkle or deform when washed and dried, but stays flat as it should. As for effectiveness, I haven't done a head-to-head comparison with Swiffer WetJet, but I feel like the Rubbermaid Reveal would win since the microfiber pad is likely to be much more durable than a disposable wipe, especially when scrubbing at a particularly dirty spot on the floor. The pad backing holds to the velcro-like surface of the mop body without peeling off more easily than it should. Amazon's review system also suggests that I talk about bottle leakage; I'll admit that getting the bottle properly seated on the sprayer when assembling the mop can be finicky and takes practice, but once you figure it out it's not a problem. All in all, the Reveal is my go-to mop for the linoleum kitchen floor (with a no-rinse cleaning fluid) and the hardwood dining room floor (with plain water). It might or might not do well on tile floors, no data there.
