The Complete Studio Albums

Excellent fun, and re-living early childhood with this box-set. In answer to some of the queries about sound and re-mastering, it does appear that some of the albums are listed in the accompanying booklet as re-mastered versions. As for the missing tracks, I have various compilations that have all of these and more. I guess this is what you want when its about the original albums. The quality of the two bonus discs was a surprise, they contain some excellent tracks, many of which I remember having on vinyl years ago.Box is sturdy, the cardboard sleeves are better quality than others I have bought in similar sets. That might sound strange, but these ones are better sized for slipping discs in/out without a wrestling match and are generally not as flimsy. Some more information in the notes would have been good, but I suspect they know that those who will be buying this will be well aware of the story behind the albums. I am glad I didn't however pay the price being asked for pre Christmas time. I paid around £17 less, so won't deduct any stars over value!

Marc Bolan’s band from the dizzy heights of their chart domination, through the era when they fell from critical favour to the return to form that was just coming to fruition when Bolan met an untimely death. The great thing here is that you quickly realise that the albums that the chart forgot, or at least that the critics turned their noses up at, were pretty good too.Bolan really was a rare talent, who might have given us an even richer back catalogue to rival Bowie but what we have here is plenty to be getting on with.The earlier, psychedelic folk, Tyrannosaurus Rex albums are not included here but can be obtained in a budget set.

A truly superb collection of the original albums in replica sleeves.+ 2 discs of bonus tracks all for under £ 35 . If , like me , you are a fan of the " king of glam " , then this is a must buy.Or , if you have never heard any of t. Rex songs then buy this.....you won' t regret itLike other reviews state though.......if only RIDE A WHITE SWAN and HOT LOVE had been included on the discs of bonus tracks then this collection would have been pure T REXtasy !!!!!!!!!

Mine arrived this morning,a day after dispatshawsch,so well done amazon ( i originally chose super saver delivery 3 - 5 days).A nice collection of Bolans original studio albums in one box set.I have never owned all the albums,and this seemed a much cheaper way of doing so.It comes with 2 bonus discs of extra material as well. . .an extra was,i pre ordered my copy. . .and got it £10 cheaper than currently advertised.if your Bolan fan,that doesn't already own all the studio albums, then this is a great collection to buy.

Don't really need to talk about the great music as Marc Bolan was a genius.The package is good value for money, especially if you are new to Bolan.Speaking as a fan I would have liked the classic Blue and Red labels rather that the silver ones.However, that is just me.The reason I only give this 4 stars, is because how can you have two bonus discs and NOT include Ride A White Swan or Hot Love? I am guessing this is down to licensing, but should have been fixed.

this boxset works out about £3.00 per cd.all the cds are in cardboard sleeves(vinyl replicas).they are all remastered and sound brilliant.the box is sturdy.and you get a small booklet with track listing.who played on the albums etc.all in all for the money you can't go wrong.superb little boxset.

so edsel release another set of bolan gems all the studio albums in one package,marc bolan was one of the most underrated musicians of his time,t.rex rock and this set proves it,could of done with some obscure bolan tracks but great nevertheless.thanks marc for your legacy

I already have all these, being a T.Rex fanatic, but it's still a must for fans. All the T.Rex studio albums released during Bolan's lifetime plus 2 extra cd's with non album singles & b sides.

Really like this set. Musically, Marc Bolan and T Rex are hit and miss, an acquired taste but lots of amazing gems amidst some flat out weird tracks and lyrics. That said, I've listened to this over and over and gain something new each time, and I never skip a track, even the oddball stuff.

Thrilled with this set. I don't see "Ride a White Swan" listed, and "Summertime Blues". There may even be other rarities not included, but a great collection overall. I'm very happy.

Rapporto qualità - prezzo imbattibile. Copre tutto il periodo T-rex dal passaggio al glam. Per chi volesse approfondire il periodo folk, c'è comunque una buona disponibilità su internet. I cd nella confezione hanno ovviamente una sottile custodia di cartone e c'è anche una raccolta di bonus tracks e outtakes.

Splendide coffret ou le contenant n'est absolument pas au niveau du contenu, mais le prix est raisonnable !Marc Bolan & T Rex reste un incontournable ''20th Century Superstar''
