Multi-K2 & D3

Yes, it's true. Most people are both Vitamin D and K deficient and unknowingly have some level of adverse health conditions because of it. The truth is our majority of corporate owned bottom line profit farming food supply is supported by chemical enhancements for growth and pesticides and not organically grown under best conditions to give maximum nutrition instead of empty large produce void of the elements the essential for health. So for those aware that eating the same foods today compared to same foods grown naturally 100 years ago contain substantially less food value while costing more in money and poor health needing additional suppletion to even come close to what your body really needs. This combination of Vitamin D and K will help do just that. Even if you are getting higher quality foods this will help boost what these two vitamins offer in improved immune system to defend and then improve your body building and maintaining resources. This is also a fast easy way to supplement with just 1 capsule a day. I am happy to add this along to my other supplements taken to keep my good health up and going forward. The only thing about this product I am not happy with are the extra additives listed in minute amounts which have no value to add and the maker should drop for those who notice and may stop purchase. Besides that, the percentages of D & K are of decent amounts that surpass many others promoting the same combination of the two. But because of the extra additives point made I have to remove 1 star on what should be a 5 star product as we don't need food colorings in capsules, etc. Pay attention producer to feedback so you can improve your product !!!

Vitamins D and K are fat soluble vitamins and it's suggested this is take with a meal to increase absorption. This product includes olive oil and safflower oil to increase bioavailability of the vitamins. My guess is the safflower oil is added because just using olive oil would have increased the price of the product. none of these oils are listed as organic and the capsule ,light be comprise of the cellulose listed. The thing I do not like about this product is FD&C Blue #1 and Yellow #5 are added to this product for no apparent reason other than to make the capsule look better. Products sold in the European Union with Yellow 5 now are required to have a warning label and studies have linked this additive to hyperactivity in children - even in very small amounts. I am super protective my my adrenal health and this worries me. Norway, Finland, and France have banned Blue #1 because of links to cancer. Since this is a Healthy labs" company, it makes no sense why they would include these additives in this product. IMHO, the coloring is totally unnecessary in this product as who cares if the capsule looks good? I'd rather they leave the coloring additives out. I deducted a star for this. The manufactured date is August 21 and I received this in March 2023 so there is only a few months shelf life on this to ensure the oil infused vitamins are not rancid - with so much oil in the capsule I am concerned about this product going bad if not kept in a cool, dry place. I deducted a star for this. All in all - I really wanted to love this product as D3 and K2 are important for our health and this product is made in the USA in a cGMP facility. It's endorsed by a well liked celebrity who has had his share of gut health publicly documented. Three stars for that. I just hope this review is helpful; I try to share things that would help me make a decision if I was buying this product and I am also really careful to support businesses as we are all trying to do our best in this economy. Reviews from all of you have really helped improve my own purchases. I also try to give feedback that would help a seller make changes to improve their product. In this case, I hope the seller takes note that it's better to leave out the additives and provide a truly healthy product that can be safely sold in all countries around the world to benefit the health of everyone. The first thing I noticed when I opened this jar (nice glass jar, by the way) was how pretty the capsules are. They are like little jewels. The second thing I noticed was on the label, the relatively low dose of Vitamin D3. After some thought I realized that this is a Vitamin K supplement with a small amount of Vitamin D3 to aid in absorption. When I ordered this I had mistaken it for a Vitamin D supplement. Although many of us are used to taking Vitamin K as an adjunct to Vitamin D-3, there are often reasons why people may wish to take Vitamin K for its own sake. Vitamin K is necessary for normal blood clotting, and a Vitamin K deficiency increases the risk of excessive bleeding. Vitamin K is necessary for bone formation and preventing fractures. Several drugs, including Warfarin,are known to interfere with Vitamin K absorption and metabolism. There are less expensive Vitamin K supplements but this looks to me like a good one as it includes two of the forms of Vitamin K along with Vitamin D3 and olive oil .

This review is for UNIFY HEALTH LABS Multi-K2 D3 for Healthy Heart and Strong Bones. I’ve taken Nature Made D3 + K2 in the past so I wanted to see if Unify K2 with D3 is any different. I am not sure if I could feel any big difference but this one has a lot more K2 than Nature Made’s version and much less D3. I suppose that’s why Nature Made is labeled D3 plus K2 and this one is K2 plus D3. I’m guessing that K2 must be more expensive to produce than D3, hence the higher price. Other than effectiveness or lack thereof, I really like the capsules and the glass bottle that they come in. I did notice that only the date of manufacture was stamped (07/2021) but no Best By or Expiration Date. However, if the typical 2 year shelf life holds, then I think these should be good up to 07/2023. I wish it were recently manufactured though because this lot is nearing the end of its shelf life so it may lose its effectiveness. Overall, I think this is a good supplement and is great if you want more K2 than D3 and are willing to pay for it. As far as I can tell, it seems to be fine and I have not had any negative side effects from taking it. I only wish I had received the latest most potent lot so as to be certain that it hasn’t yet lost its efficacy. I’d give it a 4.3/5.0 - 03/28/2023.

This is a rather unique formulation for a vitamin D3/K2 supplement. It offers two types of K2 rather than one and (supposedly) has a more active form of D3. I can't vouch that the performance is any better than my usual D3/K supplement, but I do like that the concentration of D3/K2 is not excessive. Each cap provides 250% of the RDA for D3 and 208% of the RDA for K2. While I do need to take a D3 supplement due to other meds I take, this formulation is far more in line with what I need daily compared with other options. The capsules are a bit larger than other D3/K2 supplements I've used, but are not difficult to swallow. I like that they are made in the US and that they come in a glass jar (a plus both for storage as well as the fact that glass is more readily recyclable compared with plastic). The downsides are the price and the shelf life. The price is rather steep for a 30 day supply. More concerning is that there was no expiration date on the bottle. The bottom of the bottle shows the manufacturing date (July 2021), which means the bottle I received in March 2023 is already 20 months old. I have no idea what the shelf life of this is. That's not acceptable for any supplement, and especially for one with such a premium price. While the formulation is interesting and potentially valuable, the negatives put my score at 2.5 stars.

I was really interested in trying this brand of vitamin D/K because of quality and I like liquid capsules, but I am a little concerned about some of the ingredients. 1) It says the MK-7 is in olive oil, but it also lists Safflower Oil in the ingredients. I try not to consume Safflower Oil because of the health concerns associated with that particular oil. I think for the price they should have only used high-grade olive oil 2) Even more of a concern about the added color - Yellow #5 has been shown to be a carcinogen and causes permanent damage to white blood cells among other allergic reactions. Blue #1 has shown to cause kidney and nerve problems. The only reason they have added these synthetic colors is to make the product look more unique. 3) Manufacture date is 7/2021. Date I ordered: 3/2023. I imagine the shelf life is two years, so I feel like I am getting an old product. Especially because these contain oil, which can become rancid quickly. You can see the beads of blue and green (blue with yellow) in the capsules in the photo I posted with my review. These are beautiful - almost like a work of art and like no other supplement i have ever tried. These are made in the USA, so that is reassuring, but because of the additives I will most likely not order these again (unfortunately). As an Amazon Vine reviewer since 2008 it is my duty to provide accurate reviews of my opinion on products. I would have loved to give this a higher rating because the quality of the D and K are superb, but I think they need to remove the dyes/colors and replace the safflower oil with 100% pure organic olive oil, especially for the high price of the product.

The D3 must be extra. The cholecalciferol in this supplement is the natural form of vitamin D3 made by the skin. It is important not to take too much of this as it can cause problems. Vitamin k2 average shelf life is about 2 years under good storage conditions, capsules and tablets have a longer shelf life because they are less susceptible to moisture. K2 is good for not only put the calcium in the bones and teeth but also clears out the calcium from soft tissues including the heart, kidneys and brain. The reason why they add menaquinone-4 is because that is what is most needed and quickly used by the body thus preventing the MK-7 from being converted to MK-4. After the MK-4 is used up then the Mk-7 can be delivered to the bones, to the liver and positioned closer to the lipoproteins or blood cholesterols. This is a good supplement and most artistic supplement I have ever taken.

This Unify Health Labs supplement is 50 mcg of D3 (equivalent to 2,000 IU). I am extremely Vitamin D deficient (almost at 0 at my last bloodwork!). My doctor has me on 10,000 IU of D3 (equivalent to 250 mcg) for short term therapy, so this supplement will only work for me once I get back into a normal range. Vitamin K2 is good for bone health and metabolism, so as someone without a thyroid, K2 is a good addition. (along with Calcium). So, if you are like me --> low everything! This supplement may help you. My biggest complaint is that these have blue and yellow dye! What's the point?!?!
