This resource has exceeded my expectations. It has been pitched perfectly for the reception age children I have used it with (the Year 1 children are very curious about it too!) I had thought the bear might be too cutesy but the children really love it. I have chosen to make Ginger a boy bear. The programme is well planned and resourced so you get to maximise your teaching time. Wish I had come across this resource sooner!

Have used this book when I taught EYFS and Year 1 in mainstream school. Was fantastic to develop communication and social skills.Now I work in a special needs school with KS2 children and have found it to be just as effective.Ginger Bear has been loved by a large variety of year groups.As an experienced teacher (with an SEN degree), I highly recommend it to any teachers from EYFS upwards that wish to develop skills associated with speech, communication or social development.

I bought this for use in my Nursery class and it has been a great success. The children love the character of Ginger. I have a bear puppet I use with the programme and this really engages the children. The activities are progressive and help children's listening and attention as well as their language and social skills. It's a very good resource which could be used in the EYFS or in KS1 as an intervention.

excellent book - bought to use with a group of children who have social communication difficulties. The children respond well to the characters. Only shame is there are no coloured pictures of the characters

Needed a replacement as one at school where I work for misplaced it came the next day and been using it daily since for 5 different groups of children. It is a fantastic programme for social development of children they all love ginger bear

Perfect just what I needed for work

I purchased this book as I support at child 1-1 in the school that I work. I got it because I like to pre-plan my lessons and having a copy at home, I can prepare easier than trying to find the time in school. Thank you.

Good book but when I photocopy the pages, eg certificates, poems etc for interventions the book starts to fall apart and I'm only on third lesson
