Omen Pentology DVD

All five films have English subtitles for the hearing impaired, information missing on Amazon's Product Description as I write.Bought this box set years ago and now the prices are so, so low it's worth buying. The original 'The Omen' (1976) alone is a must buy, but there are four more follow-ups, the last being a faithful scene by scene remake, a homage rather like Gus Van Sant's 1998 'Psycho' which copied Hitchcock's original.Varying in quality and content and finishing with the latest modern take.

Excellent box set of 5 dvds-bought a used copy for under a fiver,so £1 per film! Brilliant bargain. Purchased for my brother,I'm too soft to watch them myself. I've seen the first movie and that was enough for me. In this set you get the original film,the three sequels & the remake,so excellent value! Would recommend

Worth purchasing mostly for original movie, well-acclaimed classic nowadays. Although other productions are also quite decent and watchable (I mean, comparing with many silly productions from i.e. "Halloween" or "Friday the 13th" franchise), they don't even come close to Richard Donner's picture. And 2006's remake reminded me about Gus Van Sant's "Psycho" - almost scene-to-scene copying, with maybe 2 added nightmare sequences and change made to reporter's demise. About extras: Omen Legacy it's OK, but very stiff and standard treatment of movie featurette. Mostly well-known informations, endless accenting of infamous "Omen's curse", not much revelations though. Materials about creation of remake - rather dull and average, as this movie didn't really deserved much prize and attention. Summary: 3.5/6 points.

All discs played perfectly and very pleased with this collection - great value for the price.

As expected this box set was fine, delivered on time and undamaged.the Omen of course was a first rate film at the time, but with thewonderful special affects of today it seems old hat. The Omen IVThe Awakening was a bridge too far for me it was pointless and addednothing to the overall story that was beleivable. I suspect it wasmade for the feminists. But the first three films are still a greatstory line. Buy it, you will not be dissappointed.

Indeed it it one of the best horror films with an excellent cast of familiar faces as well as being well directed. But that's the first part! The various sequels become increasingly silly, increasingly badly produced and increasingly tedious. Check the prices and just buy the original. Only buy the box set if you really feel you must.

This is one awesome set of horror classics with the best being one , two and four . The suspense and freaky , mystery of the three named is highly memorable !!The acting is great and I feel these films of the anti christ are relevant for today with the evil that is an anti christ .
