Brightness - Amazon needs to add another star, as 5 isn't enough!
After getting fed up of having to keep buying D batteries for my 'persuader' mega-torch, I wondered if, in this day and age of the USB, there was an equivalent torch that could just be recharged instead. Bingo! Here it is. I was dubious about how bright it is, but my word, it's awesome. I reckon I can hit the aircraft flying over from Gatwick with it, it's like a WWII searchlight. A press of the button knocks it down to normal, and another press for dimmer, then it goes to SOS. A long press switches it off completely, so you don't have to cycle through all the modes to turn it off. Couldn't figure out how to change the focus/spread, as the neck is telescopic and took a bit of oomph at first. Been very happy with it indeed, it makes checking the garden over at night a doddle. Incredibly sturdy, feels like a lightsaber if you're into that kind of thing.

On / Off button not working
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this in June 2023 and had it packed away for winter. I took it out and tried to use it. I switched it on and now it won't switch off. The on / off switch is not working. I had smet a burning smell when i switched it on for the first time, which isn't ideal. If you are able to replace this product for me then I will really appreciate it. I will even return the broken one so that you can investigate the reasons.

Doesn't do as the discription says
Got this on the strength of the sellers discription from the seller.Sell claimed that the max distance was 1500m and I thought for the money that was very impressive so got one. On test it won't reach anywhere close to 1500m. I live in a very dark area of the UK with no light pollution so a good place to do such a test.Don't get me wrong, it's a nice touch for the money but misleading discription. If you are thinking of getting this on the distance the torch will go, I would advise not.
